This thread is a little disappointing as all that's being listed are people who were at someones school when they were not even there! Ok, I know it says "from your school" bit what about "went to school with"?

It'd be more interesting if someone famous was actually there at the same time or, heaven forbid, the same year.

I went to a good school (academically) but I'm not aware of anyone who's now famous that was in my year or a year either side. Rubbish. frown
oh ok then. I was in the same year as Colin Hill, who played a few games for Arsenal in the late 80's. Scored on his debut I believe, then spent a while in Portugal before I lost track

I used to get beaten up quite regularly by Matt Neale of BTCC fame, he stopped beating me up when he left and is quite friendly if I bump into him nowadays.

Okayyy.

Massive list done earlier in the thread but can't remember who by, narrowing down to a few years +/- ish to me:

Nick Clegg[134] (born 1967, LL), Liberal Democrat leader, MP for Sheffield Hallam, Deputy Prime Minister
Ruth Kelly[135] (born 1968, DD 1984-86), Cabinet minister
Marcel Theroux (born 1968), novelist and broadcaster[136]
Joe Cornish (born 1968), broadcaster
Adam Buxton (born 1969), comedian
Louis Theroux (born 1970), broadcaster
Jonathan Yeo (born 1970), artist
Dido Armstrong (born 1971, WW, 1987–1989), British musician under the name "Dido"
Martha Lane Fox[137] (born 1973), head of Digital Public Services
James Reynolds (born 1974), BBC Beijing Correspondent
Conrad Shawcross (born 1977), artist
Pinny Grylls (born 1978, HH 1994–1996), documentary film-maker
Benjamin Yeoh (born 1978), playwright

I can think of various journos and BBC bods as well. Hmmm.

Edit to add that looking at the above list makes me wonder where I went wrong...

My ex boss was in the same class as Chris Moyles so I know Moyles lies about his age.

Donna kellogg (UK Olympic Badminton champion) was in my sister's year (2 above me), I was in the same year as her brother.

Emma Strange - had a double page spread in Reader's Wives (is that famous? Lol) she was in my year at college.

I used to play football (if thay counts) against Malcolm Christie in the early days, and also used to be his gym buddy at David Lloyd Gym when he first joined Derby County as the older lots (Deon Burton, Paulo Wanchop were dheads to him so he had no one to train with and I was in there everyday at the same time fitness training (although his fitness level was way above mine, and I considered myself superfit then!)

One school:
Bruce Dickinson (he was expelled for trying to poison headmaster)
Richard Dawkins
Loads more but forgotten them off top of head (list avaliable: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Old_Oundelian... Neither of the above were in class with me, what with being 20+ years older

Another school (well, sixth form college):
Lewis Hamilton (amusingly, one day in science class [he WAS in class with me] he said he was a really good cart racing driver, and I said I didn't believe him and he was making it up to try to impress this russian bird. Heard nothing till a few years later at uni someone pointed out the new F1 driver. Since then, I have always acted as though fantastic claims are more likely to be true than not)

Other earlier schools:

Various wing commandors etc at scottish RAF bases
Descendants/heirs of various scottish food firms (walkers, baxters, united biscuits (lol) etc)
Polish royal family (pretenderwise)

Having said all that, uni was far more full of "famous folk" to be. I am certain I have at least met 30% of the 2030 cabinet.

I ain't acheived nowt though biggrin

David Johnson was the year above me. Football seems to be most the common theme here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Johnson_%28foot...

Also was in the same archery club and the year below Chris March who went on to be Archery GB squad.
