So my girlfriend and I went to 'a sandwich bar' for lunch yesterday. We both ordered 6 inch BMT sandwiches, but when we go to the till I noticed the cashier had charged us for separate sandwiches instead of a footlong.

So I said "can you not put that through as a footlong?"

They said "no you ordered two 6 inch subs" mad

I said "no we're sharing a footlong BMT, we only said two 6 inch subs so you could do them with separate veggies and stuff"

They said "no you ordered two separate sandwiches" mad

I said "right, so I'm being charged extra for asking you to cut the sandwich at the start of the process rather than the end!?" I then opened the wrappers and put the 2 subs together and said "right it's a footlong BMT now" mad

They still refused to change the price. Couldn't believe it. furious

Your girlfriend is now perusing Match.com. She too will be asking for a refund if she doesn't get a footlong.

Send them an email.

You ordered 2 BMTs with different fillings and are complaining they charged you for 2?

FFS, get a grip, if you wanted to pay for a footlong it would have had the same filling all the way through.

From what I've seen of **** advertising, you could probably have asked for different 'veggies and stuff' on each end and then only paid for the footlong. What was the price difference?

So you ordered two different sandwiches (different 'veg' in each) and the cheeky sods charged you for two sandwiches. Wow, I mean wow. I would contact the local, nay national press about that. Disgraceful.
