Do they still do those Russian "Cocktail Fags" that were all different colours?
Sobraine or something like that , no they stopped making them a few years back Although, I do seem to remember that there was a period when they stopped being manufactured, and then the license was purchased by another manufacturer.. Still, they're a damn nice smoke (the blacks or the cocktails (when in private!)) just scarily expensive!

Yes they are a good smoke if a little pricey

Apparently, according to the Mrs, they are not as pungent as the reds. I also keep a carton of Treasurers on hand for get togethers when the "social smokers" make an appearance. Gives them something to natter on about and it keeps them from "borrowing" all my Dunhills.
Finally, a smoking thread for smokers like myself
Slightly OT, but does anyone know (name wise) given to these Vanilla Scented cigars? A buddy of mine returned recently from Florida and brought back a couple of packs of these. Sadly, I didn't ask or saw the packet's name, but managed to try one out and it smelled and tasted fantastic

Everything else seems to taste like the barrel-scrapings from a decent tobacco company.
Its funny you say that... I went to the tobacco auction floors in Harare once and tobacco where all tobacco is still sold by the bail - good quality expensive tobacco down to literally the floor sweepings at the end of the day, This then gets blended into cigarettes in varying quantities so your analogy is actually not that far off!TonyHetherington said:

whereas Silk Cuts were fairly inoffensive.
That's because they're like smoking fresh air.Don

50g of Amber Leaf for £6 and buy some liquorice Rizlas.
Careful, HMRC are monitoring your posts. 2004 study reckoned 25% of cigarettes and 75% of rolling tobacco were non duty paid. Six years on I'd expect those numbers to be higher. Though the rolling one if already very high.
I really don't like paying £6+ for a pack of 20, when for the same price I can smoke for at least a week.
