That's because they're like smoking fresh air.
Of course, but Marlboro lights are still lighter than stuff like B&H or Marlboro Red but they smell quite a lot more.

Not a smoker but love the smell of Marlboro Lights. All other cigarette smells make me want to heave!

I bought a packet of sterling at the weekend as the shop had no b&h silver or marlboro.

Put it this way its the longest I've ever owned a packet of fags when I haven't had a cold. They taste like the inside of a wheelie bin!
Sterling? If Lidl made fags...

Apparently, according to the Mrs, they are not as pungent as the reds. I also keep a carton of Treasurers on hand for get togethers when the "social smokers" make an appearance. Gives them something to natter on about and it keeps them from "borrowing" all my Dunhills.

No they didn't... http://www.mysmokingshop.co.uk/index2.php?mod=cate... ..

Although, I do seem to remember that there was a period when they stopped being manufactured, and then the license was purchased by another manufacturer.. Still, they're a damn nice smoke (the blacks or the cocktails (when in private!)) just scarily expensive!

That would be Sobranies? Still make them. My local tobacconist sells them along with the "black russians" from Sobranie (Tried a black russian once and almost coughed up a lung)

Dunhill blue are lovely. I smoke rollies, and don't usually enjoy normal cigs, but these are really good. Not sure about the smell, I smoke!

£8.65 for twenty tabs!?!

Think I'll stick with 50g of Amber Leaf for £6 and buy some liquorice Rizlas.

Slightly OT, but does anyone know (name wise) given to these Vanilla Scented cigars? A buddy of mine returned recently from Florida and brought back a couple of packs of these. Sadly, I didn't ask or saw the packet's name, but managed to try one out and it smelled and tasted fantastic smokin

Everything else seems to taste like the barrel-scrapings from a decent tobacco company.
Its funny you say that... I went to the tobacco auction floors in Harare once and tobacco where all tobacco is still sold by the bail - good quality expensive tobacco down to literally the floor sweepings at the end of the day, This then gets blended into cigarettes in varying quantities so your analogy is actually not that far off!

They different methods to dry the tobacco. One uses "toasting" the other uses "roasting". Both methods produce a charactistic smell.

Careful, HMRC are monitoring your posts.
2004 study reckoned 25% of cigarettes and 75% of rolling tobacco were non duty paid. Six years on I'd expect those numbers to be higher. Though the rolling one if already very high.

I really don't like paying £6+ for a pack of 20, when for the same price I can smoke for at least a week.
