I mean, it's not rocket science is it?, ..Please, please remember its DEFINITELY, not Definately....shoot

In fact, all the usual symptoms of impending global illiteracy encouraged by an inadequate education system - as has been discussed several hundred times, in threads just like this, in the last few months.

Worst one at present seems to be saying 'been' instead of 'being' and I've seen it written by so called intelligent adults too, not just kids writing in yoof spak...

I'm a spelling nazi but wasn't this subject done to death as long ago as oh, last week? Under the auspices of misuse of words but in true PH style it drifted into spelling.

More repeats than 'Dave'.

Aha - this thread re-emerges yet again.

American spellings get me - licence/license, defence/defense etc.

Ignorance of use of the word "have" as in "could have", "should have", "would have" etc and using the word "of" ("would of", "should of"..... )instead. That to me just demonstrates downright ignorance of proper use of English or a stunning inability to recognise the correct form.

I don't care about typos. We all make them. But when someone obviously doesn't KNOW what the correct word to use is, that does concern me a bit.
