I've started on the coursework. Sort of...
I now really don't want to do it, but I have no choice.

Just completed 3rd year of an Accounting and Finance degree, only 1 more year to go. Think I may treat myself to a new car this weekend to celebrate. Got my eye on a tidy Clio 172...

What homebrew are you using? I've just had a lovely badger golden glory in preparation for a night of work. It's very light and peachy so not going to make me fall asleep. It actually tastes just like peach flavour ice tea.

Last night at work. I am on a stag do from Friday morning so have to get lots of pre-stag stuff done in order to avoid the drinking fines. And more importantly before i leave for the stag do i have to go meet my new client as the sole remaining person in the hunt for the vacant position i really want. Provided i don't make a complete of myself i will be starting it in the next few weeks. f k Yeah!!

I'm on the Cooper's Canadian Blone Ale, it's very good as it's only been bottled for 7 days but I lack patience to let it sit The Cooper's Cerveza is very good though, I'm going to start a batch of that at the weekend. I just noticed you mention you are having beer before work, well played.

I now really don't want to do it, but I have no choice. Good luck mate, chin up! It'll be worth it in the end. I must admit I questioned it (and I've worked damn hard this week, 9am-4am the last week ) and questioned what I'm doing it for- trick is not to do this too hard and just get on with it

lazystudent said: Cheers. Here's my view for tonight.. Frijj for company Mmmmm Clio 172...good choice Not jealous at all! Its on 68k with FSH, recent timing belt. Only thing I'm wary of is I'm sure the cambelts need done at 72k and its not cheap! I want something fun for the summer though. At 2k do I just bite the bullet?!

I should change my "garage" to say ex-clio owner...belt went about 3 months ago (stranded on what seemed like the coldest night of the year but that's another story..) although mine was only a povery spec 1.2. Went at about 55mph uphill under load, valves were all f ked and the costs to rebuild it outstipped what it was worth. RIP Shrek And, for reference, cambelt and timing belt are the same thing

Insurance quoted me 176 quid for the remaining 10 months on my policy. Paid 450 on the current car 2 months ago so still reasonably cheap to insure given I've had 1 major and 1 minor crash.

It's a steal- get it bought! you won't lose any money on a 172, not at £2k shirley. Insurance is cheap! Was £770 for the year for the 1.2 (I'm only 20...) so if you can get that on a 172 (presuming you're not 45 or something, haha) then I'd go for it. Like you say, cheap and genuinely fun summer car that will, if looked after, go on for ever! Gawd I'm looking forward to September when I start work and can afford a car! London's crippled me financially over the last 3yrs

London's crippled me financially over the last 3yrs I'm 21, Grade A/B postcode (can't remember if it changed when I moved), 3 years ncb. Didn't think it was too bad a quote. I know the feeling. I'm fortunate enough parents pay my rent and bills yet my cards are constantly maxxed! And this is coming from an accountancy student! Haha. Would rather have a car that costs me lots than nights out on the piss tbh!
