To add additional authenticity, a power cable fitted with a standard 13 amp plug can be glued into one of the power sockets with the power cable tucked under a nearby rug, or behind a cabinet.

I used to work at a recycling place (tip) in Cirencester a number of years ago. One day, a safe turned up and it was clear that someone had been trying to get into it, there was a lot of exposed asbestos. We moved it around a bit, and you could clearly hear something was inside, so we got one of the guys who was a bit of an explosives expert to blow the lock off.

Inside was a cash tin stuffed with £20 notes, totalling just under £4000 if I remember correctly.

What did the police do when you handed it in?

Thanked me profusely then presumably spent it all on doughnuts.

Look, this was a futile attempt to ensnare champ54321. He is from Cirencester and discarded a safe at a tip, when him and his Dad couldn't open it.

I once found a safe that was locked, I finally got inside.

It contained about £200 of long out of print £10 notes, still curiosity was satisfied.
If they had been in good condition a bank note collector would have given you over face value for them
Which is another reason why explosives/plasma cutting is a bad idea. Yeah, sure it will come open but you'll have ruined the contents.

To get it open intact you need drills and grinders and chizles and a LOT of back breaking and time consuming work.

What I'd do is first of all drill a hole in the top and then use a boroscope to look inside to see if it was worth the bother of getting the back off it.

Why a V Dubba?

I was going to ask him but thought I'd appear foolish.

BBS split wheels are like the holy grail in the VW scene and people who buy fake splits get lynched.

Hope that helps wink
