That oxy acet torch with a cutting head on would take about two minutes to cut the hinge.

Agree with those that say yours is the only house that never opens a present before xmas.

Reminds me of when I worked in Ty Glas government buildings, on the floor above us there was a room with a safe planted in the middle (nothing else except a locker with overalls and PPE). I think it was MOD, but not sure.
Anyway, those offices were left when they moved into cardiff bay. Maybe you have that old safe, it no doubt contains many x-files and shiny things.

I've got to go, I've said too much.

I have a strongroom in my cellar. Had a key but it wouldn't open. I found a safe-breaker-turned-locksmith to open it. It was empty. And damp.

If it's anything like my gun safe, then the door-bolts will extend out both ways meaning cutting off the hinges is a waste of gas...

You could always go on one of those locksmith training weekends and get the tools and know-how to pick all sorts of locks...then you could have a profitable sideline business too smile

Title is a bit misleading, surely it's a 'locked safe' rather than an 'unopened safe'

I think the correct response would be

"It's metal you 'tard" smile
