Same for me, but as a Nikon fan I got the Nikon version, I reckon I must have been drunk, as I bought one for me and two more for my Nikon Camera loving buddies.

They are scarily real though, just wish I could afford the real thing!!

2x cars.

The first was a Fiat Punto. In red. With Black bumpers. It was awful. £6k

The second was a Seat Leon TDi FR (150bhp). It. Was. fking. God-awful. £12k

Can't remember what happened with the Punto, but I managed to offload the stheap Leon to a VW dealer who admitted that he paid over the odds for it - last I heard it had been sold to a guy on a Leon forum who spent a lot of time and money getting it straight. He also paid £500 more for it than I chopped it in for.

I nearly impulse bought a Passat 140 sport, but was talked out of it by the above mentioned salesman as the owner was a "pikey" - sold me a cheaper Passat which I loved and still miss...

ETA - I've got to get me one of those mugs....

Biggest impulses have been A Rolex and the year before that a Tag Heuer. They both get worn fairly reguarly though so no complaints.

My sins are clothes bought whilst abroad. For some reason when aborad I feel the urge to dress like a local and buy the world of crap that i have no intention of wearing when I get home. I still have 2 sleeveless shirts that I bought in Jamaica from about 4 years ago that have not been outside of the house since coming home.

ParaKitamol has you all beat, but I think she was sober.
Why, what was her impulse buy?
Actually, now that I think back, I might be wrong, and the neon cock was a gift. Was posted a while back.

This...

OK, so I was thinking of changing my car at about that time, but I had crossed Porsche off my shopping list after 8 years in 911s - 'fancied a change'hehe

In fact all but about 3 of the cars I have ever bought (including all 3 Porsches and two Audi quattros) have been sort of impulse purchases, in that they were were all bought on the first day I decided to change and almost all were the first car I looked at!

'66 Charger with a small block (318) V8. I don't think there are many in the UK. My boss at the time had a black 383 Charger which my wife and I loved, so this came up at a good price and we bought it. It's a solid car but with poor paint, tatty interior and a feeble 2-barrel carb which would struggle to feed enough fuel to a lawnmower engine. We have plans for it, mainly involving a Holley four barrel carb, matt black paint and a drag strip.

The barn where the photo was taken is where impulse purchases go to die. Also visible in photo - Mk1 Golf, Land Rover 109 V8, Mercedes W123 estate. I still have the Golf in there, about half of the Land Rover and a few bits from the Merc, as well as two other old Land Rovers, a box full of Triang toy trains, three sets of alloy wheels, a TSR-tuned Golf 1600 engine and a Chinese-made bunk bed which falls over if you try to climb onto it. Ebay should be outlawed.

I would quite happily come and live in your barn! Everything you have described in there (except the wonky bunky bed thing!) sound mega.

If I owned that barn, I would be out there every day just tinkering! Fun times smile

My winner. Why bother risking losing the auction when you can 'buy it now'?
