I was once sent to pick someone up from a place called Netherton, I Googled it to find out where it was. This revealed it was formally known as 'Nether stlington' which was unsurprisingly changed at some time in the past.

Staff at the computer company Wang in Milton Keynes were pi55ed off at having to answer the phone to the company format of "Wang,Milton Keynes", they said it sound disrespectful to Milton Keynes.

They complained to Wang Head Office.

They withdrew their complaint when they heard that the Cologne staff werent too happy either.
