Mavis Enderby is a village in Lincolnshire - It always reminds us of a Librarian!
Reminded of two from a regular trip to Bedford I see.

Marsh Gibbon is clearly a type of Ape.

Marston Moretaine, to me, is a moustachioed villian in a Swashbuckler movie, probably starring Michael York.

A relative of mine studied Old English placenames as part of her degree and discovered that there used to be a street in Oxford (I think) with the magnificentl title "Grope Lane". It was long since changed to something far more boring, but polite.
Ooh heck, I've been edited ....it rhymes with runt.
