According to the news most people will get clear skies to night for a really good view of it all.

It'd better hurry up as it's pissing it down here.

Thread running in the "Planes, Boats etc " forum.

I know it may sound stupid but that is usually the best place to put space related topics.

Any particular parts of UK that will get a better view than others? I'm in Norfolk boy... Also any time of night where there should be most activity?

In the direction of the constellation Perseus. Not easy to distinguish, but it's left a bit from Cassiopeia (the W-shaped one).

Annoyingly the only thing that seems to be in the sky above me right now seems to be the sea, falling out of it.

Oh My God. Seriously now, there's no gaps between the raindrops. I think Pakistan have exported their floods. SOS from Manchester...SOS...

I was out on Tuesday and they're the best I've ever seen by a long way. I saw two that were so bright they left trails that glowed for several seconds. smile The ones I saw were very high up and due N/NNE.
