As a teen i used to go to a 'fish and chip shop' in Kilburn, NW london.

You would walk in the front door and immediately be diverted downstairs into the basement which had pool tables and vending machines IIRC. There was a serving counter but no food was sold. When you got downstairs you would be surrounded by young men asking what you were looking for.

I used to hear the place had been busted again, but it opened right back up within a few weeks. I would not be suprised if it is still operating!

If anyone remembers that itv drama The Hot Dog Wars from 1995, about the murder of a hot dog vendor and a member of his staff, the fella who was alleged to have had them killed is now serving time for being the midlands arm of a major drug gang

I doubt your strong-arm tactics would cut the mustard with that lot.

Ever been in one? Know anyone who's ever been in one? So how come there is one on virtually every high street now?

Hmmm.... lets see now.... your stock is basically twigs and who knows (especially the bib or the customs)how many people might pay for acupuncture or consultations and pay for them in cash.... which means that you have a business where no one can prove the value of your stock and lots of people could pay in cash....

hmmmm......scratchchin

You know, the same might apply to some tanning salons too.scratchchin

Tanning salons are popular setups for money laundering, as they take in lots of cash without selling a quantifyable product.

car washes seem to be a good cover too.
and a few years back a few small local part worn tyre places where all owned by the same shadey charactor.
