Got an email from the other half earlier. She fancies taking me away for a night. She wont say where of course, but did say said in her email:
"The place where we are staying was built in 1906.Set within 32 acres of idyllic grounds." - That is the only clue I have.
The words "Set within 32 acres of idyllic grounds." were in Times Roman (blue) font whist the rest of the sentence was in Ariel (black). Thinking she has lifted the text from the net, and was silly enough not to change the font, I figured it would be a doddle to figure out where using Google.
But Googling "Set within 32 acres of idyllic grounds" in quotes, only seems to bring up 'New Place' - its not New Place though and she has just replied saying its not near Southampton either.
She also said she figured out why I thought it was "New Place" (her email) and told me I was wrong, but that I'm welcome to keep trying. Im not turning up much from Google on my own though, other than this 'New Place' if Im honest!
I know it will be somewhere near or in the South East...

I'm pretty sure it's a double bluff.
"The set in 32 acres" gives you New Place and then if you search on New Place it gives you....
http://astoft2.co.uk/hants/newplace.htm
....which gives you 1906!

I found nothing with the "set in 32 acres of idyllic..." and also the '1906' on the same page.
You are probably right... But she has flatly (and very happily) said that it was the wrong area, that it was a very good try though, that it is not the location, that she had not even heard of that location, that it does look nice and that I should continue trying type comments. She isnt phased at all. And is keen to continue the game. Praps Ive blown it already then.
But if I had guessed correctly, knowing her as I do, her reaction would typically be "Very well done. I'll have to surprise you in some other way then! " instead. Her denial is out of character. She said she can see what lead me to New Place, but said I'm wrong, and isn't at all upset about my guess, to the contrary is what it feels like.

OP - Don't do it. Even if you do rumble her you will get no thanks for it. Better to have the flowers and so forth at home for your return rather than piss on her chips.
She wouldn't be the first to give someone a false lead either.
Not sure if I should button it, believe it, pretend to believe her, stop talking about it or continue mucking about... which she is enjoying. She wouldn't be the first to give someone a false lead either.
I dont buy the false lead idea, its not her style. Its very hard to believe her denial, equally hard to believe its not new place.
