You have got to be taking the piss out of us, seriously you stting there laughing at your little joke on us arent you.
No, it has to be slung, so i cant drive, its important to keep it raised- somewhat dificult without a sunroof!!!!!!
I really want to feel sorry for you, I really want to feel that all the "fun" directed at you is out of order, but your like the kid who got bullied at school who couldnt help but make it wrose with every move that he made.

Good luck mate, I fell you may need it.

4 weeks off after an ankle op, I then did two weeks of light duties until I was out of plaster. (And then 11 weeks light duties with my wrist in plaster after I broke it 10 days after my ankle plaster came off.)

just under 3 months. Pre and post back surgery. Since then usually about 2 days a year max for anything which really does stop me from getting into work.

Anyway as a reply to the OP, I like to keep to the national average whenever possible, so I take 8 days off sick a year, obviously if genuine illnesses don't take my up to my quota I will take a couple off around my birthday in early November.

I had my head shot off by a sniper once.

Took a couple of aspirin and was back at work the next day.

6 days following an inguinal hernia operation. I can't believe you've started another thread complaining about one of the very things that was taken the piss out of highlighted in your last EPIC thread!

Some people never learn. I fear your genius threads may be too much for Cock Womble. And to have that many days off work for a thumb burn that you did on an Iron? Unless you held it on your thumb for a number of seconds, I really can't see how the damage you mention could have occured.

Have you never heard of public transport?

In know, I know, DNFTT, but..

I reckon, since I've been contracting for 20 years that I've taken off 1 day when I was really, really sick, so sick I actually wondered whether death would be preferable if my health ever failed to the extent that it became a chronic feeling.

I can't believe it's that low... there must be others, but I truly can't recall them. I even managed to avoid loosing a day off when the ex had each of the 3 sprogs.

But when I was staff for a year or so before I went contract I probably took 3 days off due to being 'ill', mainly Mondays or Fridays, and work being boring. smile

Yes, but like most decent folk, would prefer not to use it- It involves an hours journey, and again, not all that practical with a sling AND a laptop bag
