Ah, so myself with the rather poor excuse that I was worried about my 4 year old niece poking at the snake and getting bitten is not good enough for you, but eating a guinea pig is?? What an odd fellow you are.
I didn't read that part. If it had bitten my niece, yeah I would probably would have done what you did.

If I knew my garden was full of poisonous snakes? I probably would make the children play indoors.
It hadn't bit his neice, he was preventing it from doing so.

Bit of a dull outlook that is, isn't it? There is no better thing than to have kids playing outside.

It is not a situation I am in, so I've not paid it much thought.

However, I would say that it is better than risking a child being bitten or running round with a shovel killing every snake you see.

Nope, your sarcasm and paint skills have not made me change my mind. Killing a snake and posting a picture of it online is out of order and disturbing IMO.

But I'm sure someone online will be suitably impressed with your wit and snake killing skill, so well done.
Don't be so bloody ridiculous.

Here's a guinea pig I ate in Peru.

Is that toast?

Does this disturb you also? (skip to 5.20 for best bit).

Well, I'm pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a live mouse being dropped into a piranha tank or such like. I'm an angler too, and would have taken them for dinner. And the car at the beginning was nice.

He was so obviously going for the aerosol flamethrower, although tried to pretend he was just deodorising the spider, and lit a match...

My girlfriend wasn't bothered by house spiders and used to pick them up to take them out of the house - until the day when one of the bigger buggers dug its fangs into the palm of her hand..........it hurt apparently.

like said, hope was an accident, although cant see how it would have been.

wikipedia ''grass snakes are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and cannot be harmed or traded without a licence''
Im sure Blue Meanie is quaking in his boots at the thought of the long arm of the UK Wildlife and Countryside Law grabbing his collar in upstate New York.
hehe Nice one... That particular snake was killed in Bulgaria! There are quite a few venomous, and bitey snakes, so when my little nieces are in the garden, I don't take any chances.
Poisonous or not - killing it and then showing off the picture to your virtual peers is out of order IMO.
You're right... No-one should have to put up with a picture of a dead snake. They will probably be traumatized for the rest of their lives, what with them being adults, etc. They will probably end up as drunks, divorced, and with gambling problems as they try to get away from the hideous vision of a dead snake. A vision that is far worse than anything you could possibly envisage on the news, or in hollywood movies. Probably even worse than going out and buying a mouse trap, and actually killing something yourself, because as all good armchair psychologists know, seeing a dead thing is FAR worse than actually killing something yourself. I have edited the picture, so you can sleep at night.

PS, I do hope you have never bought slug killer, insect spray, or stepped on an animal, as that would make you a murderer.
Meanie old chap, can I borrow your spade for this wker:
