I've been single for about a year and I've decided it's time to get back in the game, so to speak.

My work is a non-starter as far as meeting women, but I do get plenty of time off so it evens out there. I go out on a regular basis to bars and clubs, but I appreciate this isn't the best way to meet someone. So the questions are...

For the PH men: Where is the best places you've found to get chatting/meet someone? and what approach did you use?

For the PH ladies: How do you like to be approached? Are there any massive mistakes that guys have made etc?

All comments welcome and I appreciate this has the potential to go wrong for me in true PH fashion.

Yes we do exist, no we are not all mental and there are just as many women wondering where all the normal men are - it works both ways.

And chat up lines don't work. End of. Or they do, but only on a certain class of person.

They are hiding in the same place all the nice single non f***wit men hang out! I don't mind a chat up line as long as it is heavily ironic - quite a nice icebreaker. Really though, how a women reacts is dependant on how much she likes the look of you, regardless of what you say! One exception though, the men who insult you because they think it's really funny and original and makes us desperately want to prove you wrong about whatever you have passed judgement on. It doesn't work.

They're the ones you ignore because, well, they're sweet and great conversationalists, until you're in your 40s and divorced with baggage and these nice, sweet men you want who are still fit and trim no longer want you because, well, you're not. I know of one nice man who is in his late 30s. I doubt he's ever had a gf. He still looks the same as when he was 20 (not sure how, as he doesn't belong to a gym). I find the occasional lass and introduce; they say "he's sweet" but that's it...

They're not hiding, though. Women just don't date these men because they're... boring. See my previous post. As for the second bit, please explain?
