Competitions - does anyone actually win?

I won 500 quid in a competition once, completely forgot about entering then got a phone call whilst at work. Pretty dam good that was.

My best man won a Seat Ibiza SC Ecomotive from DVLA just for taxing his old car online. Now he doesn't have to pay the tax any more

I won an Autoglym valet kit in a 'Name the Dashboard' competition in the back of Evo once. I get the feeling I was the only one geeky enough to enter .

Also they had a competition in the Metro a few years ago giving out 10 pairs of flights per hour for a day. Our whole office was phoning up once an hour. Most of us won something, I got 2 flights to Helsinki.
