I would be interested in this.

Long way to travel, but it's for charity (should be more than £10).

One of my favourite books I've read in the last year is 'Eight Lives Down' by Chris Hunter about his time doing bomb disposal and his tour in Iraq. Link to book

Beer? RAF base? WW2 control room? Explosives?......I'm in. Any chance it can be organised before 1st December? £100 to the charity if it can.

I'd be up for that as long as it wasn't the 27th/28th November as I'm unfortunately stuck doing weekend working that weekend frown

I had an idea in the pub last night .... All of this for a small donation - £10 maybe - for Help For Heroes and the Royal British Legion.
I think the 'donation' should be a bit higher than that. Would be good if the event could net a grand, eh?

Things like Dad's Day Out show that where good charities are concerned, PHers are happy to pay a good premium just to do something which isn't easily available to Joe Public.

I don't know what others think, but I reckon a £50 per head 'donation' would be entirely acceptable.

£50/head, plus travelling from the north of england would be a bit much for me... not all of us own companies - some of us are scraping by at just over the min wage.

if it was going to be that high I'd be out, that means a £200+ round trip, which is a fifth of my monthly wage.

Everybody understands that it's for charity and seeing as nobody is that much of a st, will almost certainly give as much as they can. Raising the minimum donation just excludes the folks for whom £15 or whatever really is as much as we can give.
