My postie certainly doesn't understand "please do not bend". At least he didn't the day he folded over a big envelope to fit through my letterbox.

Maybe the postman did exactly as you asked him, but your neighbour thinks you're a wker, so when the postman knocked on his door, he hid behind the sofa.
