I really don't get the fascination for watching videos of someone being murdered. No good can come of it. Either you're disturbed by the images or you discover that you're a fking freak who likes watching people being killed.

ETA that I know that murder is a fascinating subject. I just don't want to see it in action.
I find that with torture - I find it extremely interesting. The ingenious methods that people find to harm each other, even though its been proved that people will say (or sign) anything to make it stop.

Although reality would be a different thing. In-fact this was a good technique used in the middle ages. To extract a confession the victim would be lead down to the chamber and see other people going though their misery and this would very quickly get a 'result'.

I keep hearing that the threat of bodily harm can work better than the harm itself

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dnepropetrovsk_maniac...

The Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs is the media epithet for the killers responsible for a string of brutal murders in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine in June and July 2007. The case gained additional notoriety because the killers made video recordings of some of the murders, with one of the videos leaking to the Internet.

And yes the video is quite easy to find, and no you do not want to see it.
Thats very weird! Some people really do deserve just to be killed rather than put in prison don't they.
I remember reading someone's reaction to that video (maybe the journalist mentioned) It was horrible. I certainly don't want to ever see it.
I think i read the same article. It genuinely messed the guy up and it took him a long time to get over it.

They couldn't do it using drink, so resorted to gassing him. Michael Malloy, if you're watching, I salute you.

I saw a programme about it, basically the number is so big that there isn't enough space in the universe to write the full number down (or something along those lines).

This one is very interesting..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Compound

The Compound, also known as Street Patterns or The Grid, is an area in southwestern Palm Bay, Florida, similar to Flagler Estates. It is largely undeveloped area of some 200 miles of paved road. General Development Corporation began development of the area in the 1980s, but went bankrupt in 1991: afterwards, few residents ever moved in, and the streets fell into serious disrepair by the early-2000s.

Would love to go for a look around there.
Just had a look at it on google maps and on street view (well sort of they haven't driven on it but can be viewed on adjacent roads).
Very interesting.
