My propulsion lecturer at uni said he saw one of the engine soon after the 1982 Jakata and there was no obvious damage to it, they'd chocked on the ash but as it cooled it had all come off again.

Tempting as it is to list all the space probe pages I'm going to go with this one, awesome stuff.

Launched in 2006, due to arrive in July 2015 but only in May 2015 will it's images surpass those of Hubble. I think that says things about how fast it is travelling and just how good Hubble is.
