My granddad may have been involved in digging that out. He talked about a cave that you couldn't get out once the door was sealed (he was based in Gibraltar during the war). Sadly he died before I had chance to ask him.

Not quite Wikipedia but this site has enough info to keep me reading for the next few years. Looking at the real docs behind Able Archer at the moment, the basis of the TV series Deutschland 83:

Not sure if this one has been posted before https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrtle_Corbin# - woman with four legs (and two foo-foo's as you may have wondered...)

I found this quite interesting, and 2024 worries me that a 13 year and a 17 year brood will come out of the ground. (2089 for the two biggest broods to coincide, but I'll be in the ground myself by then.)

That is so weird. You have to really wonder what intelligence is at play here...

The Flying Spaghetti Monster: his Noodleness is very smart with mathematics, especially prime numbers.

I haven't seen the video, I don't see how it would make my life any better.

What scares me is the copycat murders in Irkutsk in 2011. I was in Irkutsk in 2011!

On the subject of people doing things in groups they would never do on their own there is this case: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ursula_and_Sabina_Er...

Which incredibly was caught on camera. Probably one of the most fascinating documentaries I have ever seen. The look in their eyes. From 3:30 is where it gets really interesting. This is apparently the first time something like this has been caught on camera, so that's one good thing to come out of camera crews following police around all the time.

I remember that happening as clear as anything and the documentary didn't half scare me when I first saw it. One of them was hit by a car hard enough for her head to dent its roof and yet showed no ill effect, continuing to fight with the police with the most demonic look in anyone's eyes I have ever seen. I was convinced they were not human.

Seriously. Don't watch the video - every time it comes up in a forum people watch it 'to see if it is really that bad' and massively regret it. Whenever you do a search for 'Things I wish I could un-see' that video tops the list...

I can't even read the wikipedia page. I got so far down (kitten torture) and decided enough was enough. I'm totally not in the frame of mind to even think about that sorta stuff, grim.
