Wiki about Digby said:
He later disabled a German armoured car with his umbrella
roflroflroflroflrofl
The sentence before that got me: 'When the Germans started using tanks to cross the bridge, Digby led a bayonet charge against them wearing a bowler hat.'

Get a load of this hero. World Champion finswimmer - rescued 20 people from a bus 30 metres under a lake! One by one! Ended up in a coma that finished his sporting career.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shavarsh_Karapetyan
In later life he settled for just pulling people out of burning buildings!

I get down on my knees every night and thank God for making me an Englishman. It is the greatest honour He could bestow. After all, he might have made me a chimpanzee, or a flea, a Frenchman or a German!
The list of his quotes at the end of the article is fantastic.
