They are fine, but consider just buying a couple of types to try. I think a large choice doesn't really help. Get Feathers and pick some other popular blade at random.
This. Feather and Personna back to back will cover the best options.

As an experiment, I've ordered a couple of the Queen Charlotte Soaps aftershave balms (ok, 3, as they're not expensive), including the iced key lime that uses as much menthol as they use in the vostok cream and balm. Could be amusing.
Strewth. A little goes a loooong way with menthol. Possibly the only lime shaving accessory that actually captures the bitterness of limes 100% - thoroughly recommended. But go easy on it - Jim, through a veil of tears.

Bluebeards Revenge shaving cream takes a bit of beating. Very little goes a long way and easily three passes from one brush.

I have avoided bluebeards stuff as I used an aftershave balm that was horrible. It left a greasy layer on my face and needed to be washed off.

I've started using the Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood Shaving Cream instead of Mühle's aloe vera shave soap - the difference is impressive. Much better lather, no irritation and a much smoother shave overall. I've also just finished using my sample pack of Shark stainless blades and thought they were excellent - very sharp and lasted several shaves.

Ouch! fking ouch.

So using feathers for years and just shaved and cut my self silly. Fresh blade, on the lightest setting. Could it be a bad blade?

Done all the usuals, hot water on face etc.

I'm also out of feathers, is there anything else to try that's light for my soft baby face?

Nicked myself a few times today with a fresh feather. I think its more to do with the cream though, I used GFT Rose and it doesn't lather up that great, had no problems with the Bluebeards revenge for a fortnight. The Rose felt like it was drying up fast.

I used a derby the time before, and only cold water, maybe it's due to fickingn up my face from that? I've got persona blue, always used it and it's been a dream. Will try again, but more water next time!

Luckily not my nads!! My fault, rushing before a funeral and nicked my neck below my ear! Blood everywhere!! I haven't had one nic with the other blades but these feathers are super sharp!!! Luckily my shirt collar was a cm below the cut so stayed blood free....and my beard covered it a bit so nobody noticed. Just got stick off some of my family as they've not seen the beard before & kept calling me Jewish rolleyes

I've bought some alum block now...just in case!!

Give Personna Platinums a go, much better than Feathers IMO yes
