How did you know it was a boy snowman? Might have been a girl.

Claymores at the base of your snowman would solve that problem.

A similar solution I have to when people used to destroy my sandcastles.

Build the sand/snow around rocks/stones/hard objects.

A punch or a kick to your work of art results in pain

Cast a cement snowman overnight, then clad him in snow. Set-up webcam and post link to PH. ;-)

Just that ahole mentality which seems to be the accepted norm these days. The other morning I had to listen to Chris Moyles on Radio 1 (wife insists on it) where they were discussing an online service where people could report the snowfall in their area using twitter. The results were then displayed on a Google Earth map. Very geeky but it could be quite useful seeing the real time info. What does Moyles do? Starts sending bullst info about it being really heavy snow in some place where it wasn't snowing, then implores his millions of listeners to do the same. Effecively ruining a genuinely useful, free service. I know it doesn't mean a great deal but why try and break something that people have put time and effort into? I fking hate this country at times.

Moyles is a pleb though.
It's ok though, www.uksnowmap.co.uk only uses the last 1 hour of tweets IIRC.

I had a similar vandal when I was young. In the end I gave up building snowmen, because some prick went to extraordinary lenghts to steal the snowman I built inside my house.
To make it worse the bastid pissed everywhere before stealing the snowman.
