That's my interpretation:-
- Claiming they'll be able to spend our GROSS (not the net) EU contribution on the NHS;
- AND claiming they'll make sure farmers aren't worse-off (when farmers get the majority of our EU rebate);
- AND claiming they'll take the VAT off fuel (I presume domestic) at the same time.
- AND ignoring every major economic forecaster who predict a mild-moderate hit to our economy when we leave, which will hit the gov'ts tax-take.
In short, they're either thoroughly incompetent or a bunch of lying shysters trying to pull one over on the electorate. So much so*, I'm seriously considering voting the same was as Cameron! :shudder:
*
- Gove promising to give money to the NHS, contrary to every action he's taken in his career to date.
- The whole Brexit campaign promising to control immigration when currently 50% (historically more than) of our immigration is extra-EU, which we could control/restrict already if so-minded; AND ignoring the scenario that most of the European non-EU free-trade partners HAVE HAD to sign-up to the free-movement charter anyway.
- Claiming that leaving the EU would be "better for British workers" and "could increase wages", when in likelihood they'll use it to reduce employee rights (again, given the track record of some of them...).
(Without getting too political, the major reason TO leave the EU would be to gain democratic control back over our own country, which I DO support, and where I DO believe Cameron's been weak. I just find myself in the position of trusting this ELECTED bunch less than the unelected, unaccountable bunch in Brussels...go figure)

Lots of inappropriate for this thread stuff.
Whilst the brexiteers may be guilty of hyperbole, given as they are not going to be forming a government after the vote on EU membership (whatever the result) it is hardly worth ranting over.......The vote is on EU membership - that is all.
