Think of a colloquial three-letter name for a Beetle which also has something to do with crap software.

A bug is an undocumented feature. This bug has been documented.
It took me a while to get, too.

It's more a tester joke, not a developer one wink

(Developers write code, testers try to find defects within the code)

In any case the picture is of a VW Beetle, colloquially known as a Bug.

In testing terms a bug is another term for a defect, i.e. something in the code that is incorrect.

However developers often tell testers that the bug that they have found isn't really a bug, it's a 'feature' i.e. something that was 'intentionally' left in.

Why is a defect called a bug? Because a dead moth was found in a an early electromechnical computer, causing an error.

NP, I'm a tester by trade, so like that one, it's also new to me;

More Testing 'jokes'

Light Bulb

Question: How many testers does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer: None. Testers don't fix problems; they just find them.

Question: How many programmers does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer1: What’s the problem? The bulb at my desk works fine!
Answer2: None. That’s a hardware problem.

The Glass

To an optimist, the glass is half full.
To a pessimist, the glass is half empty.
To a good tester, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Testing Definition

To tell somebody that he is wrong is called criticism. To do so officially is called testing.

Just so long as the glass has a lid on it - we don't want an overflow.

My first thought was Wolverine.

Funnily enough the Dad is a comic fun, his wife is not, I wonder if she's realised yet....
