I love cigars. Cohiba Maduro 5 is the best I've ever had, amazing tasting thing, yummy.

I wouldn't, but was informed that random checks were part of the Ts & Cs.

some Guantanamera Cristales ("for beginners" was the sell chat)
Precisely how the Don Ramos were sold to Mrs Digga. Very nice too - and I was a beginner.

P.S. Forget the Cuban banter about virgin's thighs. Some people retain their virginity with good reason - you just wouldn't.

I used to smoke as many as one a week before I had kids. Amazingly, my wife would even let me smoke in the house (with the windows open). I used to keep a reasonably sized humidor full (sixty or so cigars). Now, it's an occasional thing on a nice summer evening, but I make an exception on tropical holidays when I tend to have one most nights on the beach staring at the stars. I have to make an effort to remember to top up the humidor with both water and cigars these days.

I smoke mainly Robustos, Cohiba, Hoyo or Partagas (I like the wide difference between those three) on the whole.

Really must visit Havana House as it's not exactly far away from where I live. Most of my cigars are direct from Cuban holidays. I particularly like Monte Cristo No4's and Cohiba Especials, both of which currently fill my humidor. For that real special hour or three I've got some Romeo et Julieta No1's lick

simplycigars.co.uk ? ive been on the email list a while and seem to get nice sampler packs in aswell. only ordered a humidor/other from them so far, but cigar prices look reasonable to me (although i have no cigar shop near me so im not sure how competitive they are confused )

Don't you still find you can taste the cigar in the morning? I've enjoyed the odd cigar in the past, but to still be able to taste it in the morning I found hideous.

I've had some mixed results with Davidoff too. There are some lovely anniversary editions but some of the otehrs were quite unpalatable.

I was a cigar smoker until last September when I turned 50. Now I'm a non smoker. I worked out that I have smoked 90,000 odd cigars since i started.

Never really took to the larger cigars. A Davidoff #6 would be nice from time to time. Cafe Creme Blue became the regular gasper with all sorts of alternatives as the fancy took me from Panama through Hamlets to whatever caught my eye. I smoked them though, not puffing them. That's why they had to go.

Doing ok with the give up thing, but sorely miss them when playing golf or on track days!

Did anyone see Trevor Mcdonut on that Hidden Caribbean thing?

He was in Cuba visiting a cigar factory and he said he was finding it tough as he'd given up cigars, and was obviously a huge fan of Cubans, but people were allowed to smoke while working. At the end they had boxes of the things and the woman sparked one up and offered him it. His face was an absolute picture!

He gave in after many "No, no i cant" and took a weedy puff. The poor guy was being tortured. hehe

My favourite and often go-to smoke is the montecristo 2, but I still have an awful lot to learn...
I tried a massive cuaba the other day, which was nice but perhaps a little too big. I've recently invested in a small humidor which I keep stocked with montes from the airport as well as anything interesting I find in stores.

I sometimes buy at selfridges if I'm lazy and want a smoke at the bar. It's overpriced, but theres choice and a very nice cuban lady who always makes good suggestions (although she asked me for ID the first few times I bought from her).

I prefer to support http://www.sauttercigars.com/. The prices are decent and they always have fascinating little collectibles and antiques. The guys who work there are great, and you often see them smoking in the shop

Not really, although I like smoking them with a fine whiskey or brandy which may help.
