Gosh. You lot are so sophisticatered. yes

I may have a proper cigar and whiskey on my birthday as I've given up smoking fags (26th Dec) and no doubt I'll get right depressed at finally hitting 21.

Sigh. 21. Tsk.

I'm enjoying some Cohiba Siglo's at the moment, but I'm far from a connoisseur.
Which size (if you'll pardon the question! hehe) do you like?
The II & V are my favourites. smile

I'm a keen pipe smoker and cigar smoker, although I have done neither for a while given the crappy weather. frown

Anyhow, plenty of info on this thread if you haven't already seen it. smile

Another pipe and cigar smoker here. Although I have a taste for the full flavoured, earthier stuff. Recently bought some Partagas Serie. P No.2's, although I prefer my trusty old Partagas Serie. D No.4 - really satisfying smoke. They're both quite hefty smokes, for something light and quick can't go far wrong with a Cuaba Divinos.

Someone mentioned a light smoke earlier, i'd recommend pretty much anything by San Cristobal. They were my favourites when I started getting serious about cigars, really good flavour and kick although not too full on either. As for good budget smokes, i've been really impressed by some of the Chinchalero stuff.

Not sure if this is allowed, but i'd recommend www.cgarsltd.co.uk great service and the best prices i've been able to find online.

In Spain last year I spent every evening from sunset to about 1am drinking Spanish Brandy and smoking King Edward Invincible Deluxe cigars, I only picked them up because of the awesome name, they were bloody lovely though!

I love a cigar.

Moreover tapping a Siglo VI into an elephant's foot ashtray, while Jeeves fetches another bottle of Taylor Scion.

You obviously get paid too much being Lord of PH then! wink
The VI isn't for me really, I find it a touch too big and I find the V smokes much better.

On the previous thread we did try and get the idea of a PH smoking day sorted; unfortunately with us all being so widespread it is likely to be difficult!

ETA I buy mine from abroad (puroexpress), from the UK at a lovely shop in Bournemouth or from cgarsltd.
SammyW, I would recommend buying one of the 'starter sets' from cgarsltd, it will give you a nice selection of smokes and a chance to see if you like it or not. Just don't go for anything too strong... they can be a bit overwhelming for a new smoker. smile

Nice idea. The store near PH towers (linked earlier) has a nice smoking room, you take your own tipple too.

Happy to arrange something if the interest is there?

I could be interested. What is the parking there like?

One issue I have with the "sampling lounges" is that I cannot smoke my own in them. I have my own cigars, just no where to smoke them (in comfort)!

That's the good thing about the hotels in Germany. They have an over 18's only lounge/bar where you are allowed to smoke. They provide the drinks (and smokes if you need) and you just get on with it. Very civilised.

I keep toying with the idea of converting the spare room into a Herfing Room, but have not bitten the bullet yet.

Plenty of secure parking at the office and a short walk from there.

I'll speak to the chap (if enough are keen) to see if we can arrange a deal where we all buy one or two singles from his shop, but can smoke what we like when downstairs.
