For all the shotgun lovers, look what we are getting later this year...

By the way Kel-Tec is about a 45 minute drive from me
Personally, I am probably going to trade up my mossy bullpup for a Benelli M4 sometime later this year... We'll see how the year goes.

I will confess, big butch bloke that I am, guns have always scared me and I have never fired one. Can I ask how do you transport those around and what would a cop say if they pulled you over?
Do you have some way of identifying that they are air rifles and not real guns to the BIB as they look very real to me?
Those are real guns, fire real rounds and are very dangerous if not treated with the proper respect.Do you have some way of identifying that they are air rifles and not real guns to the BIB as they look very real to me?
There is no reason to be scared of a firearm that is being used by someone competant and responsable. Should be no more scared than when using powertools or riding a motorbike/ driving fast etc.
Really you should give it a go sometime, go to a local clay pigeon club or something for an idea of what it is like, or get in touch with a local gun club to try it.
Just spent the weekend on the range with 14-18 year old cadets firing full bore semi-automatic rifles and it was great fun and if a tiny 14 year old girl can shoot a proper rifle then you can too you big sissy.
What I do if stopped is tell the policeman/woman "I have a legally held firearm in the car and I have my FAC right *here*".
Me and my father go shooting often and always carry the pistol locked in the boot and always carry the firearms license with us. With my friends its more difficult as we are usually in a 4x4 or hatchback without a locking boot for the shotguns.

WTF... I have no words, I don't find anyone holding a gun responsible Just spent the weekend on the range with 14-18 year old cadets firing full bore semi-automatic rifles and it was great fun and if a tiny 14 year old girl can shoot a proper rifle then you can too you big sissy.

M4's nice and a better made piece of kit, however the action with the rotating bolt does take a bit of getting used to, at least for the purposes of Sporting Clays.Doubt you'd give it a second thought if only used now and again for shooting intruders and stuff
I do miss the range.... some of my collection before moving to the UK, not quite in the "preparing for WWIII" collection above, and a might nice collection it is to.
Armscor Z88 - Beretta 92F copy without the frame cracking problems of the original, I had tritium inlay sights, rubberised grip and the obligatory 20 round mags. A lovely weapon but a bugger to carry in summer. Chromed slide, anodised barrel.
Republic arms .38 shrouded hammer in stainless steel. A model 49 S&W clone made to tighter tolerances. The point and shoot carry gun.
Republic arms RAP-401, lovely small pistol in 9mm, rolling block safety, double action, and ridiculously easy to shot with +p+ loads, THV/eliminator hot loads etc.
Republic arms Musler pump action shotgun, nice because it can fire tear gas canisters but SSG and 500 gr slugs were its preferred diet.
No pics of that unfortunately, but looks similar to a Mossberg pumpie

I don't fancy shotguns as a rule. The reason that I am looking at the M4 is for possible "3-Gun" competitions in the future...you don't fancy a Saiga then Ernest ?

...BATFE are also looking at banning the importing of the Saiga because it doesn't fit a "sporting purpose" (another quirk of US law) To get around the ban, Saiga would have to set up shop in the US and manufacture locally.
I have read good and bad about the Saiga (more bad) from people that I trust. I have yet to shoot one myself.
