Morning,
I have tried Lewis but he seems to be out of the office…do you have any idea what time our game might be on the weekend? If it is a late kick off I might have a bit of a problem…
Hope all else is well. Bumped into your ex girlfriend / housemate the other weekend…she is a looker to say the least!!

Saunds and Sam are working on it. Small chance that there might not be a game.

Who did you bump into? Jenni Palmer?

Oh ok...well that might determine what I do on Friday night then!

Yeah I met her in the Hurlingham pub...she was with Sam and another girl. Had a brief chat to her and later made an enquiry about her to Sam (obviously as she is hot), he said she was your ex and that you wouldn't care in the least if I had a go but warned me she comes with a bit of a health warning!!? How accurate would you say that is!?

Just to let you know I haven't and I won't even think about it if you have any sort of problem with me persuing...not my style to step on a mates toes for the sake of a girl!

Just thought I would check with you...

Will keep you posted on footie front.

Yeah, very accurate. Wouldn’t care in the slightest. To be honest she is f**king tt, I don’t dislike many people but she is one. She massively messed me around, she also messed few of my mates from uni around, so I should have known better! Feel free to pursue, yes, she is HOT!

Oh she sounds brilliant...just the sort of thing I am looking for in the summer months. My defenses are up and I am up for the challenge....

Have you got an email address!? I won't tell her you gave it to me!!

Haha I don't think so mate! I am getting some funny looks as I can't control my laughter! It is done now, nothing you can do but wait for the phone call...are you still living with her!?

Can you keep me posted on how this pans out as it is going to make a great story in the pub when it is over!!

p.s. Might still have a crack...nothing to lose!!

Yeah, I still live with her and that’s why I’m in so so so much trouble, we didn’t get on before so this will be the final nail in the coffin. F**K!!!!!!
I sent her a follow up email saying I don’t really think she is a tt – just trying to put you off her! Not very convincing. Sh*t sh*t sh
You might as well have a crack – certainly nothing to lose! fU*k!
This is apparently the lady in question:

It could have been worse.

I've forwarded an e-mail from a t***er to my boss, advising that this chap was a complete t***r and why the hell was he still employed and in future I'd be dodging his calls. Three guesses as to whether I had cleverly forwarded the message to my boss or whether I'd just hit reply to all and sent it to the t***er instead.....

I got a written warning at work once, sent the area manager an email saying "you are a cock". It was an accident, never meant to send it... the sentiment was meant but he wasn't meant to read it. Oh well.

Well, my boss agreed with me so it wasn't really a problem - and I was good mates with the T***r's boss too who also agreed with me biggrin

Papa - oops, that's why you never put a name in the CC field when you are drafting a message....

I'd opened an email from him and my first reaction was "you are a cock". Instead of the "x" in the top right corner, the "send" in the top left got clicked on. Silly.

Uhm maybe I'm missing something here but if you re read the emails to and from she wasn't sent anything except the "here is her email address, don't say I have it to yo, etc." She didn't get any others, and therefore did not receive the one about her being bad mouthed.

Also, I just want to say that there should most certainly be a way created to cancel and or take back a sent email. I am surprised this has not yet been a feautre on emails. But I am pretty sure on AOL you can do this, however it has to be to another AOL member and unread by the recipient. This has saved me twice as I can recall.

Most email clients default to adding the previous messages at the bottom of the email. So she'd have received the lot.

The history would have gone with it as chap above said.

There IS facility to recall emails but only in enclosed systems, like AOL (jesus, do people still use that?) and inhouse Exchange/Outlook systems (Notes too iirc). However, that only recalls a message if it's to someone in the same system. It won't recall one going out to an external address.

How do I do this in outlook?

hehe

When I was at uni my mate who was always missing lectures / tutorials etc had his tutor on his case, he absolutely hated her, to be fair she was an absolute bh!

She emailed him to request a meeting about his attendance, just messing around he wrote as a reply, with no intention of actually sending;

"Dear Bez (Beryl) you are a minging fat tt and you smell like a cats arse kindest regards John aka the long lost student."

Before he could delete it I leant across and banged his hand on the mouse which sent the email.

He landed himself in the biggest world of trouble I have ever seen!!

Go into Sent Items, double click on the message so it opens up in its own window. There should be a "Recall" button on the toolbar or, failing that, Actions menu -> Recall this message.

As I mentioned above though, this only works on internal Exchange setups. If you're not using Exchange, ie you're using Outlook with POP3/IMAP as you would as a home user, the option isn't available.

I am sure we have exchange with internal email at work. I will try it anyway, thanks

This saved me once, sending an email to someone calling the team leader all the names under the sun, however dipst here put the team leaders name in the 'to' box. Realised what I did once sent and hit recall straight away, was stting it as she sat right by me, was sweating like gary glitter in a playground. Thankfully on this occasion it worked but the outlook recall facility is really unreliable, seems to work better if you do 'recall and replace with a message' (and make that message blank) rather than a recall only. Other strange things have happened with the oulook system at work such as random emails getting posted to public messageboards within the system, has got people into trouble on a few occasions. Rule of thumb I use since is not to send anything over email that I wouldn't mind being read by the whole company.
