yes

Listing yourself as a Jedi/Pastafarian/Sith etc gets counted as "no religion" anyway.

Listing yourself as Jedi is so 2001. This time, list yourself under "Charlie Sheen"

I'm afraid to shatter your illusions, but thats one of the major causes of war. That and money. And pretty girls. Helen of Troy for example.

Wasn't meant to be funny, it was meant to be what it is. I do associate with the ethos of the Jedi more than I do with CofE or anything else.
Go on then, what is the Jedi ethos?

And how does that compare with the ethos of CofE, or of anything else?
I thought the Jedi concepts were taken from Far Eastern philosophies.

No I'm not. I don't believe in war causing religions.
So you do believe in non war causing religions* and choose to express this by claiming affiliation to a fictional religion of warriors?

Wierd logic.

note*: can you name a single war, ever, fought for religious reasons? Not territory, not trade, not influence, not tribal/ethnic/national, not religion being used as a cover story for these, for propaganda or to motivate troops, but an actual religious conflict? Didn't think so.

I'm not sure they'll need to look back.

The crusades? People used to be very into their Christianity. I don't think that many are really bothered about it nowadays. Not in the uk anyway. OP Jedi thing was funnyish 10 yrs ago. At least you've filled yours in though. I spent the night gorging and drinking and forgot until now.

Wow there , going a bit deep now ain't we ? There's no answear to your question because everything everywhere is muddled up and turned into anything . I know of plenty of wars where religion was a massive contributing factor , or should I say used to get the people behind it . The whole backwards middle east is doing it now , the Turks were doing it few hundred years ago , the Chinese done it for thousands of years . Don't think that the budhist were pacifist either

My retort was that people will look back and see that many people in 2011 didn't take religion seriously and had more personal connection to the ethos of a religion that was in a film. That shut her up.

Jedi mind tricks rock.

My wife was nagging me to do the census today.

So I'm down as Jedi, she's down as Sith.

My daughters down as Padawan.

I wasn't going to do the Jedi thing, but the whole census thing is a crock of st and I don't take it seriously anyway
Crock of st? It's pretty useful to historians, if nothing else.
