Suggestions?

Was thinking of beharry's story or 3 Para but can't decide.

Any other ideas? Already read sniper one.

Not that modern, but "Chickenhawk" (Vietnam War) is well worth a read.

Read the Johnson Beharry one, not that great a read, despite how brave he is/was.

'8 Lives Down' is a good read about a bomb disposal guy that was targeted by the militants.
'An Ordinary Soldier' is another good one about a battle in Afghanistan.

I'm sure Amazon will tell you a bit more about them, but I usually give books to the charity shop if I doubt I'll read them again and I've kept those two.

Sniper One is good. I'm sure Beharry is mentioned in it.

Apache Dawn is good too.

Bullet Magnet by Mick Flynn is a good read - from NI thru Falklands to Iraq and Afghanistan. 1/2 price in Smiths currently.

+1 for Sniper One. Ed Macy's Apache is also a good read.

And on a similar line, "If I die in a combat zone"...

Slightly older, but well worth a read is Bravo Two Zero and Immediate Action both by McNab.

Apache and sniper one are two of the best modern war books i'v read, both must reads. The circuit is ok aswell but not in the same league as the first two.

Roberts Ridge is also a good read, documents a US navy SEAL operation in Afghanistan in 2002.

Sniper One, Bravo Two Zero as suggested, or try Dressed to Kill by Charlotte Maddison, the first ever flatcock Apache Pilot.

I'm reading Phoenix Suqadron, about Buccaneers flying from the Ark Royal to defend Belize. Good book. I'd never heard of the mission (it happened in 1972) until I saw this book.
