Cool.

May be a silly question, but are you a bike mechanic (because that looks like an office, not a workshop)? If so, how did you get into it and where do you work at the mo? smile
Yeah I am, I run the workshop biketart.com HQ at the moment smile

It's probably just the filing cabinet that makes it look like an office; the wall behind the camera is far more workshop-ey, being covered in all manner of tools as it is.

I got into it by luck really, the whole business is owned by a guy I am friends with and he knew I am handy with spanners and allen keys so it all went from there.

Off topic, but I notice you have studio monitors. Are they for music creation or do you use them just to listen to music?

Thinking of upgrading my Bose multimedia speakers to a set of studio monitors... But don't know if thats a bit overkill for just streaming radio and Spotify.

I use studio monitors (I'm a composer), and TBH there isn't any real point if you are only streaming music. Still there isn't a point in me buying the cars I do, and I still manage to do it. Studio monitors will be able to deal with a much bigger frequency range than multi media speakers (even Bose), but the streaming will have gotten rid of most of those!

Bit of both really.

I originally purchased for music production (I play bass in a band) but they work well for playback of all kinds. My music is all in flac via mediamonkey. When I decorate in here I'll get them positioned better (or maybe upgrade) they are active so I use the blue box to control volume etc.

Thanks, I won't bother if there's no benefit.

I remember when this thread first came up thinking that I ought to contribute - but forgot to!

Now it's back, here's my desk:

Little bit blurred, but it means I don't need to hide the URLs or documents on the desk smile
