Can you determine where someone is from by their looks?

I have been mistaken for being from:

Greece
Malta
India (I did have more of a tan as it was summer)
I did have a tight perm in the 90's and someone thought I was mixed race.

My father is from Gibraltar and whenever I go on holiday to Spain, I nearly always get spoken to in Spanish. I think (in my case) just by having olive skin and black hair you can get mistaken for coming from a variety of countries.

Apparently, (and I really mean this) anyone with a Kirk Douglas style dimple in their chin is of Serbian descent.

Well, people regularly determine that I'm a pr*ck from my looks.

So there must be an element of truth in it.

I look slightly Spanish/Italian/Middle Eastern apparently, however I'm 100% British.
