Mrs P been in labour since around 4pm yesterday afternoon- had a visit to the hospital at 5 this morning, only to find that she was hardly dilated, sdo we've come back home again and spent the day pottering around etc
Not sure things have progressed overly far yet, but it does look like something is happening.
Really pleased that we shouldn't need inducing (we are 6 days over), as no-one seems to enjoy that very much!

Lippitt, I'm not surprised you are fed up, I was starting to get fed up at 37 weeks!
Good luck for tomorrow, hope everything works without induction
Thank you! I've been stripping wallpaper today, and cleaning windows - unheard for me so perhaps that might be a sign?! Going to get o/h to give me a good rodgering tonight while I'm face down in a curry, last ditch attempt Good luck for tomorrow, hope everything works without induction
Hope all goes well with Mrs P!
Also hope no news is good news re Mrs C
Very glad Charlie is doing well.
Lots of excitement around here then! I just wanted to share mine - 16weeks old yesterday and we had our first all nighter! 7.30pm - 7.30am I'm not going to get my hopes up too much, but it is awesome.
For about 3 weeks now we have had our evenings to ourselves, he's gone down for at least 5-6hrs and he's slowly stretched it out until last nights epic.

we're 8 weeks old with Noah and he had his first round of jabs today, little man didn't even wake up for it
just need to get sleeping at night solved, we seem to be going backwards and spend more time awake than asleep. Noah does appear to be very alert and ahead of his age group though and takes very few naps during the day.

With the advent of Michael sleeping well at night, I decided to start implementing a daytime nap routine last week (morning only thus far). Went well, down at 9.30 until about 10.30 - meant I could get a bit of housework done for the first time in 3.5 months.
We're now in Cornwall for a week, odds on any routine sticking?!!!

3 weeks to go to full term, but docs still say he'll be early. Mrs C has had enough now. She's had some funny feelings (and some other things that I won't post!) so who knows. Thing is, she has no idea what to feel/expect/do.....she has an appointment at the hospital tomorrow to ask a few questions and for them to have a look.
If she's had a show then it should be a jelly mucus discharge. I had 2 stretch and sweeps before I went in to labour on my own and then 2 more S&S's whilst in the early stages of labour to speed things along. The 'show' was quite noticable and couldn't be mistaken for anything else.
The other thing they fail to mention is the after effects of giving birth so ensure Mrs Chilli has plenty (and I mean plenty) of maternity towels as she may need to double up in the first week to control the bleeding and to be prepared for flooding if she's been lay down for a period of time. Sorry if TMI but people don't tell you about these things and seem to skirt around the reality.

8 days here and still no sign of the little lady.
After the news that we need to find somewhere new to live (see my other thread - nightmare!) I have begun the task of de-decorating the baby's nursery and she's not even bloody here yet. The stickers are thankfully peeling off rather well so far, I've only had one casualty (a Tulip). This is what it looked like when we first did it, so glad I kept the sticker sheets now though.
