I've been on bed rest since Tuesday due to a heavy bleed. Hospital confirmed all was well with baby, cervix closed, baby active and nice strong heart beat. Might be down to PCOS, hormones, or just an ealry warning sign to take it easy.

Nuchal scan OK, came out as low risk though depending what reports you read they all seem to have VERY different views on what score is low risk and what is high. Anyhow, I've come back as low risk, Nuchal fold @ 1.3mm.

14 weeks + 2 now, stressful business this pregnancy game. You get good results, in to the 2nd trimester and then this. Just hope baby stays put and we go all the way or far enough to make it viable coming early.

Start taking it easy Granville! Look after that cargo!

I now have 5 weeks to go, midwife on Monday as now showing signs of Pre-eclampsia. Ward visit on the 2nd then my last scan on the 6th to check the placenta has moved, if it has not then I will be taken in for a section they think. Could be a Feb baby instead!!

Best wishes to all the new parents.

Taking it nice and easy, not that I've been over doing it either. My job is at a desk so nothing strenuous there.

Hospital can't explain why I had the bleed, all seems OK with the baby and that was all they were concerned about really. Had no pain or anything to warn me my body wasn't happy, just felt really tired a few days prior.

Maybe a mixture of my age, hormone changes from the placenta taking over and PCOS? Who knows, but it's shaken me up somewhat. I'm back at work tomorrow so I've been a little more active around the house over the weekend but still only pottering about really.

Stuart & AMLK may thanks, I have managed to get to see the midwife who is booking me in for an emergency app to get fitted with the bump band to ease the pain as I can't have physio appointments due to work.

Now 28 weeks along so now feel like doing the countdown from 12 as it will pass quicker, however last night I managed to fall asleep on my back for an hour and woke up in excruciating pain and felt like everything was siezing up. I put it down to either the hour sleeping on my back or Braxton Hicks contractions. One thing is for sure..... my bag is getting PACKED tonight as all these thoughts ran into my head about who to call, what to do.....

i.e I went into a little panic.

Hope everyones bumps are well.

How is it now? I had this from 26 weeks with my first and ended up on sticks, then in a wheelchair. if it's still a problem I can let you know everything the nhs can do - as I had it all ( had it with all three pregnancies). Physio can be helpful and in the end there are some impressive painkillers that a consultant can prescribe you as a last resort. The good news is that it should disappear pretty soon after birth.

Enjoying rollercoaster ride at the moment

Been wiating 11 years to get pregnant.

came home friday to give my wife the news that i had a second interview for a very very good job, only to be trumped with a little thing that said "pregnant". biggrin totally leftfield as we hadn't been trying to past couple of months due to christmas and jobs etc. Totally over the mooon.

Sunday Mrs P start bleeding and now we don't know if we're still pregnant or not- she's been to the doctors and they won't be able to tell for another couple of weeks!

Oh crikey. I know what that wait is like (6 years for us). I hope that it goes your way, on all counts.

HHmmm would be interested in hearing what meds can be taken. Yesterday I was in for my 35wk check up, I have had blood taken for pre-eclampsia, have to get an app to get a wrist splint on as I have been unable to use my left hand for over 3 weeks now due to swelling and pain, I have to get checked for asthma today and now also have to use crutches to get about due to the pelvic pain. I get the pre-eclampsia results tomorrow.... oh and I now seem to be measuring 37 weeks. Aaahh it's all go!! I just want the babby out now. hehe

I had co-codamol prescription strength for some weeks, pethadine, fentanyl patches and morphine. I guess it depends on how bad the consultant deems things to be. I never made it to 35 weeks so I have no idea on what it's like being that pregnant. I should imagine it carries on getting worse. My third was deeply engaged and ready to go at 30 weeks and that was really the beginning of the end for me. Hopefully it won't be much longer. If the pre-eclampsia is a problem they will do something about it.

Really sorry to hear some of you are having such a rough time at the moment. I hope everyone has a positive outcome. Certainly puts my pregnancy gripes into perspective.

Things seemed to have settled down this week and I've almost started to relax again.

It also seems to be reacting to noise the last couple of days and it's the first time I've felt definite movement. 16 weeks now, just hope all stays well and the 20 week scan is fine.

Hi everyone. First night home with Elsie and we both feel human again! Mum is feeding in bed and relaxing with her before the Sunday visits. My job is tidy up, feed mum and light fire again. I suspect this series of events may repeat itself over the next couple of weeks smile

I want the really cold weather to stop so I can take her out for walks and show her off!
