Sounds like they've not said anything anyone serious about training wouldn't already know, then.

I've decided to cut down to ~6/7% body fat to see what I look like; think I'm currently 13-15% or there about.
I've a cunning plan and I don't think I've ever been under 10% before- should be an interesting experiment.

Back to Intermittent Fasting (but a bit more strict than previously)- training will remain as it is, not sure on time scale...don't think it'll take too long though. I'd like to get very lean so that I can bulk up and still stay lean all year round. I'll put up a pic when/if I get there.

I am a fan of IF dieting after trying it over the last month, once I have got right down I am going to try that two weeks on two weeks off diet you linked to as I think it will suit me.

Thats pretty good! I've been slacking lately due to work, illness and being car-less! I've got my new car sorted today which I'm really happy about, its by a huge margin the oldest car I've ever owned! I've always been fortunate that I've either bought new or had company cars and now I've gone in a completely different direction and I'm happy about it! http://pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...I'm going to start early morning running again now! I was getting up at 5.30am to get in work on time but now I can get up at 6, have my run and still get to work on good time which is a bonus!

Lovely looking car, a new car is my reward when I hit goal, well not new but you know what I mean. I need to work on my endurance as I managed to do the first 2.5 in 15 minutes but had nothing left in the tank for the second lap.

It will come, just keep working on it, assessing where you are and what you need to improve diet/training for longer/different intensity/different types of training etc. Remember to reduce your calorie count as you lose weight also. And it wont come as any surprise to you but the thinner you get the easier it will become to increase your performance up to the point where you reach your natural ability although I'd expect that to take sometime! Nice new ride OC Little update: I have been back on the carbs for the last few weeks and seem to be dropping my bodyfat quite nicely with lowering calories and a bit of daily walking/swimming + training as normal. Have ordered some body fat callipers as my electric scales are s t, will update when I get them.

Dont get me wrong im defo no expert but this is what i found helped me go faster. You obv can do the 5k so once i reached that stage after a while i mixed the training up. Do longer runs at your normal pace so if your going to stay at 5k train at 6k Then also do some sessions of shorter faster runs but push it. 2.5k or something to start with. Maybe even do some high intensity stuff. The one thing i found really usefull while outside running is taking my phone with me. I have a app that reads out how fast im going and how far ive gone every 0.5m so you can get a good guide how your doing. With the race go at your pace dont get dragged into going faster when people pass you i always think it helps to tag behind someone who is the same pace or a tiny bit faster.
