Glad to hear it! smile

87 days to go and counting for me and 10p - getting excited, and just a little nervous!!

So far we have got a Moses basket, a pile of clothes, a cot, car seat and pram, a baby swing thingy, and a baby bath. We're getting there slowly but surely - just have to move house now!
86 days for us. Cannot wait now! We have just done the move house thing, I wouldn't have wanted it to be much later.
Luckily we don't have to do the house move, we are starting the hardware shop tomorrow with a buggy/car seat combo, post 20weeks seem about the right time?

I've got quiet excited about this and will be testing the various gadgets and fixtures to their death smile

Quinny Buzz is the potential first port of call.

Congratulations edition!

8 weeks left! We finally moved house on Saturday so it's lots of pottering about getting the house straight this week for me - lots of little breaks needed though as I'm starting to get backache a lot if I don't.

I've been struggling with a horrid chest infection over the last week, but it's hopefully starting to clear now smile

Biggest thing now outstanding is we can't quite find a boy's name we like enough - still plenty of time though!!

Mrs GMan was 12 weeks on Saturday. Met the mid-wife on Friday and waiting to get the date for first scan.

Really happy and can't wait for the big day.

We have our 20 week scan this Wednesday. Find out how everything is and also if it is a boy or girl... As above though, excited but bloody nervous!

Shes happy enough but I didnt want to say "what if it comes early?" as this will just give her something else to worry about...

I guess im curious to know how common it is for a baby to be a full month premature?

Kudos

My first was 3 weeks early. In in a similar ish predicament as I'm a 1hr flight from the missus 4 days per week. Am not relishing the phone call to say get home in a hurry

Hmmmm three weeks you say... I'm going to drive, if I go, so I can get back under my own steam if needed.

I guess im also concerned as to her condition at that stage, will she need me around or still manage the day to day stuff ok. As you can gather, this is my first!

It's really difficult to say, as everyone is different.

I'm 33 weeks now and still managing, albeit more slowly, to get around ok - apart from getting in and out of the bath, which I need help with.

My midwife has told me to expect to start getting a lot bigger in the next few weeks though, as its only in the last weeks that the baby really puts it's weight on apparently.

Too close. I had a chance to go 3 weeks before due date (I work for a ski company) but turned it down. How bad would you feel if you missed the birth of your own child?

Ok cheers for that. 3 weeks cutting it a bit fine perhaps.

Perhaps if I limit it to the first two weeks of Jan, so a five week gap...

Would you consider that yourself?

Why not go in Dec if you need a snow fix? Quieter, colder and better IMHO

Can do you a 3 day trip to 3 Valleys for £253 if interested, 7th Jan - 10th Jan?
