you dont really need shakes you can get protein from normal food, like eggs, milk and fish. but your body does need protein to recover muscle.

Decided to give this a go, Although i'm very unfit - Not done any kind of sports for years! Starting off at 12.5 stone (5ft9 so bmi of 26) I'm not expecting to be upto much but you don't know until you try!. Day 1 fit test results are:

Switch Kicks - 80 (Or 40 if every 2 kicks are 1 complete?)
Power Jacks - 27
Power Knees - 46
Power Jumps - 20
Globe Jumps - 3
Suicide Jumps -2 (I did nearly die here!)
Push-Up Jacks - 5
Low Plank Oblique - 21

Not quite on-par with you guys... But not bad for someone with a Dicky ticker (And a snickering missus to egg me on!)

Wife and I started it this morning too. Finally cancelled my gym membership.

Can't remember my results, so will jot them down tonight on here. We both took measurements too, and intend to take photos tonight before setting off on the first proper session tomorrow morning.

Frightened myself as to how unfit i've become.

I find the strecthing hellish to be honest I have no flex in my body im so far off touching my toes.

It might actually be because I do these exercises in my socks.

the good news is i can fit in my leathers again in comfort.

ive decided to cut all the chocolate and crap out my diet as well.

wheatabix this morning
bought some bananas! havent had one of them in years.
some more fruit
and im on soup for lunch
none of the square sasuage, crisps and chocolate.

Insanity in socks? Wow. I think my knees would fall off.

I don’t own running shoes only sambas.

And I doubt my downstairs neighbour would love me if I was to wear running shoes.

I start off insanity wearing a t-shirt, shorts and socks.

The other night I was down to only my boxers with my tadger peeping out every time I went to do a basketball jumps.

Dread to think what the o/h is going to say when I do it with her tonight

I done the fitness test with the o/h last night.

She was like an elephant landing.

She weighs less than 8 stone and im 11 yet when I land, nothing.

She decided to go in a huff when I said think of the neighbours stop landing like a fkwit.

I'll just do it myself now.

Don't think I could do it with my OH. All the dribbling and farting would be shaming. (from me not him)

Week 3 and to be honest im getting a bit fed up with it now.

I don’t mind some of the exercises but the novelty has worn off.

I feel physically fitter I’ve lost a few inches around the waist but im at the stage now where nothing is happening. Anyone else get like this.

I could not walk after doing the first workout.

I pulled a calf muscle, had to cycle to work using one leg hehe

I'm recovered now, starting over again tomorrow morning, hopefully the muscles will have adapted and i'll be able to carry on.

'Tis indeed. I found it a big step up, though you do adapt fairly quickly

The first wekk of it is more brutal but the endorphins get you through it. gets a bit addictive.

I enjoyed week 1 but come the end of week two Im starting to fall out with it.

leg work isnt a problem i can keep the pace but upper body work outs are still hard as hell, getting better each day though.

I'd say stick with it.

Wife and I struggled with the very first one, but we've recovered, and started over. I can imagine it being a bit repetetive, but if you're sweating and getting your heart rate up as much as I was, it must be doing wonders!
