Having done the standard version of Insanity ive started doing the Max30 versions in place of my daily cardio. Seem pretty good so far, different moves but very similar format.

I wouldnt if I were you.
We discussed this earlier in the thread but we looked at a few vids of people doing it on Youtube and none of them were doing the movements correctly.

You would be better off getting the DVD, off ebay or gumtree if needs be and actually being able to see how to do the proper moves if only to save yourself from injury from poor form.

If anyone has got the Insanity DVDs (or maybe something a bit less likely to kill me at first!) I am interested in buying!

IN todays age, just share it via the web, dropbox?

I saw an advert for a 25 minute program on film4, by the same people.

Even better! I did have to think for a moment how I would even play a DVD, then I remembered I have a PS3 unused in a cupboard!

T25, I borrowed it off a mate. I find it much harder to do than Insanity.
No that its particularly more intense but the moves are more fancy and harder to coordinate, more like dance moves that workout

Right, as I'm sure many others will be, I'm starting up the fitness!

I've got Insanity Deluxe and I plan to start tomorrow. I expect I'll find it VERY VERY hard as the past 12 months in particular have been lazy due to too much work. I am (well was!) a decent county-ish level badminton player but poor diet, drinking, not enough play/exercise has seriously f**ked me up.

My weight over the last 5 years has peaked at 18.5 stone (seriously! This is when I started a major diet) and lowest has been 11.5 stone (when I stopped the diet). I'm now around 14 stone and I want to be 12 stone for my wedding in August as well as getting back up to the level of badminton and tennis I had been playing.

Results to follow but will be good to source some inspiration from this thread, having looked through it there seems to be some great results.

The 60 day course will run alongside probably 2 nights of badminton and my aim is to lose 2 stone in the 60 days.

Wish me luck!
Have you lost it yet?

You could/should have lost at least half of your target from diet alone (which even Insanity mentions, albeit as a cheeky aside scratchchin). So, must have gone past it a few weeks ago?

I'm coming to the end of week 4 of insanity. It seems good so far, it's pretty addictive, you know the pain is coming but it's just nice to get it out of the way. I have stuck to the schedule, even getting up early to do it before work, or doing it late at night, just to get it done. I think if you miss even a day you will be in trouble.

I'm certainly getting fitter, the first 9 minutes of warmup now seem pretty routine to me, without really getting out of breath. I haven't really lost any appreciable amount of weight (5 10 and a half, 11 stone 2) but I didn't really have much to lose to start with, but I have lost a bit of fat and must have put on some muscle.

The first 3-4 days were really tough, my calves were so tight I could barely walk the next day, but that settled down quite quickly and now I barely feel stiff at all the day after, that's the most surprising thing.

I still struggle with a lot of the stretches as I'm really not very flexible at all and occasionally one of my knees and my Achilles is sore during the workouts, there is a lot of jumping which is not great for that.

On the basis of what I've seen so far I'd recommend anyone gives it a go. I suspect the second month is going to be a whole different level, but you can only do what your body allows you to so I will just give it a go and see how I get on. My fiancee has also been doing it and has enjoyed it so far, 11 weeks until our wedding so hopefully we will be in decent shape for that, I suspect we will start T25 after Insanity has finished.

Having done Insanity in 2013, I know just how good the results are but equally how tough it can be on your body!

Started again this monday as I need a quick fix to get back in shape - going through these first few days is painful! As above, my legs are so tight I can hardly work! But I know by next week Ill be hopping about havingt a great time!

This year I have made the effort to do it in the morning, so am getting up at 5.30-5.45 before work and getting on it. Its the best way for your body and means I can feel guilt free all day and have the evenings to myself!

Looking forward to my 2nd fit test to see if I can beat my gains from last time I did it!

I got to the first session of the second month and reached a temporary stop. Max circuits and the fit test together were tough but it was more the timing of it that started to become a problem. I would either have to do it as soon as I got home from work which is less than ideal, or do it a couple of hours after eating which was also less than ideal at around 10:30. I also had quite a few things on which meant I was getting in at 9:30, doing an hour or so of it and then trying to eat just before midnight. I will pick it up again soon but fitting it in has just become difficult, particularly for my fiancee who works long irregular shifts.

Ordered this on Amazon last night and it arrives tomorrow - I have an important wedding to go to in 62 days so was sold on the "60 day" aspect to it. When I'm in the States I see the adverts for it all the time and hoped I'd got enough self motivation to not need it - but I don't!! Kinda looking forwards to it, hoping it answers all questions (diet as well as just fitness).

its easy to get the motivation first time through as its exciting and you have goals and want to achieve getting through the prog. I have found although I enjoy the workouts i often cant be bothered to do them anymore as i dont have the goal to achieve, so thinking about getting one of the new versions to rekindle the flame.

How many calories does the workout burn a day?

Curious, as I've no idea and am guessing the big thing about it is the time vs rewards thing.
Still think these things are somewhat evasive about the diet impact though.

Probably 400-800 depending on workout.
Could do similar weightloss just running for the same time but Insanity does full body workout rather than just legs.

Not sure what you mean about diet?

They do try to sort your eating out. If you buy the proper kit one of the things you get with it is a book about healthy eating and loads of recipes to try to encourage a healthy diet.
I ignored that and carried on still eating crap and too much of it but still lost loads of weight and got measurably fitter and stronger.
Half tempted to go through it again and eat properly and see the difference it makes.

The diet point is that it is casually mentioned in a sort of Simpsons type way, when in reality it is probably equally important for most who try it. Nothing wrong with Insanity itself, just cost, sales pitch and the like.

I've been doing about 900 cals a day, exercise wise (by different means), but thanks to crappy diet, while I've shifted something, it ain't convenient the presented before & after. Had I sorted the diet, the effects would have been much better and probably not much different to what at least some people would pay money for.

Suspect same is similar for this kind of thing.

I'm on the first day of insanity beach body , for me it is very hard , the fitness test yesterday completely done me ! Day one proper today and just the warm up I find hard, managed about 25 mins and couldn't do anymore 😢

Would love to stick at it and hope these early days soon become a distant memory , not feeling motivated for it now though which is pretty poor after 2 days .

I'm doing it as soon as I get up at 6am, not sure if I'm suffering with energy levels by exercising when I haven't eaten since evening meal the day before ?

I was usually doing it at about 4-6pm after work or late morning on weekends. wouldnt want to go into it hungry or within 2 hours of eating.

Keep at it. When I started I was reasonable fit and still struggled with the easy workouts by the end of it I was going like a pro and didnt even have to pause for breath in most of the easier workouts.
