Fairly happy with my progress.

Weighted myself this morning and the scales showed ....

11 stone 10. biggrin

Mega happy with this. Comparisons in the mirror etc are looking good as well.

Hopefully will get a really good result at the end of the 9 week programme.

Morning Chaps!

So month 1 is complete. Starting the recovery week today and boy don't I need it.
Played first preseason friendly on Saturday and still stiff and sore from that. Also ran out of the Bcaa+ which hasn't helped will order some more today so it will be here ready for next week.

Thought I would show you the progress from the last 28 days.

Pleased with how it is going at the moment. I've lost about 9 pounds. From 12 stone 4 down to 11 stone 9. Lost lot of inches. Wish I would of measures my body when I started to give a true comparsion.

Bring on month 2. Ment to be hard and Insane!! hehe

Cardio, core and balance.

Start of the recovery week last night. Felt a little strange.

Started off slowly just a slow pace warm up. Then it got going a little in the middle of the routine but then by the end felt quite good. It's not ment to leave you feeling really tired etc but I feel like I need to do more to benefit. I'll stick at it got another 5 nights of it. Can imagine it is going to be quite boring by the end of the week but got to stick at it.

Well John biggrin, looks like its working for you from those pics so keep it up thumbup

I think I made the same mistake as you I did the wrong workout one night but never mind. I'm on week two now and I can already go fast, stronger and harder on all exercise's so that's a good feeling. I have heard the recovery week is boring as hell but like you say got to stick with it, to be honest im looking forward to that week at the moment. woohoo

Well done fatpasty! I did find it abit hard to notice the difference as the pictures all have different lighting/colours, but i can notice your stomach seems a little flatter then before. Hmm, perhaps I should try insanity again. I do find it almost sadistically hard, the throwing up and muscle soreness isn't cool either. Maybe I should just stock up on ibuprofen..

With the correct diet and supplements you'll be fine. BCAA tablets have helped loads and I don't get any soreness and stiffness any more. A must IMO.
Yeah I no the picture quality isn't great but there has been a good difference hopefully see better at the end of the second month.

Thanks though.

Day 15 Fitness Test 2

Switch Kicks - 99 up from 80
Power Jacks - 46 up from 35
Power Knees - 78 up from 70
Power Jumps - 34 up from 30
Globe Jumps - 10 up from 8
Suicide Jumps - 13 down from 15
Push-Up Jacks - 26 up from 24
Low Plank Oblique - 55 up from 30

Improvements in all but the suicide jumps so I am very happy with those numbers, the switch kick count may be off by a couple but still completed more then first time round.

Not a fan of the globe jumps or suicide jumps they are the ones I struggle with the most but i'll beat the scores by the next fitness test.

Well done Jason. Keep it going.

I also done my third fit test last night. Starting month 2.

Forgot to pick up the results to post so will do it later when I get home.

Again some very good gains and others OK gains.

The recovery week wasn't nothing special, a little boring but it was all OK. I pushed a lot harder at the end of the week than I did the first. I don't feel refreshed though. Feeling tired after the fit test last night so month two is going to be tough but hopefully see much bigger gains.

Will post up results later tonight.

A quick question did you do anything else in the recovery week like some weights or a run here and there just to stop it being so boring?.

Thursday instead I had football training and Saturday I had a preseason game. So only 4 out of the 6 days. I took it quite easy on the day 1 because he tells you to but then after I didn't feel like I did much so the next few days I pushed hard doing it.

Reporting in from the first day of month two. What can I say that was insane!! Stupidly hard.

Such a massive jump from month one and the recovery week. Not sure how the body is going to hold up. The exercises are longer and harder, I was blowing through them all and didn't complete one set of any of the exercises. Level 3 drills is hard. 32 push ups in about a minute. Arms are killing me now. Max plyo was the workout I done tonight.

Fit test results from yesterday.

Switch kicks 75 up from 55
Power jacks 57 up from 52
Power knees 95 up from 81
Power jumps 34 up from 31
Globe jumps 10 up from 8
Suicide jumps 17 up from 15
Push up jacks 30 up from 28
Low plank oblique 50 up from 38

Some decent gains and some small gains but pushed every second of the test. Only two more tests to go so hopefully will get even better gains within the next month.

I have joined the world of insanity as of last Saturday and I’m actually quite impressed with it.

I got it purely because I’ve went from a physical job that was on site everyday to sitting in a drawing office for 40 hours a week.

I wasn’t sleeping right, putting on weight around my gut and started losing a lot from the arms and legs. I was starting to look like one of those Ethiopian hungry dudes.

It works well for me cause I’m far too lazy to go to a gym and really hate physical exercise. A lot of it is just jumping about and jogging.

Anyway I managed 3 days in a row before it hurt too much to do the 4th, let that be a lesson to those who think they can skip the stretches.

After 3 days I got back into it and I’m feeling great actually.

Sleeping really well, weirdly I have far more energy than I ever have had after these work outs and I’ve already lost quite a bit around of flab around my gut. So much so I’m on the last notch of my belt and trousers are hanging off.

Some of it is tough going, especially for an ex smoker who hasn’t exercised in two years but it does get easier as the days go on. The first time I actually collapsed on my bed and fell asleep for an hour or so. A week on and after a few hours on the motorbike I have these on then I’m off to do the housework.

One thing I’ll say is that bloody Asian woman does my tits in. she always has a big smile on her face and looks like one of those push the envelope look how great I am s.

Other than that its fine.

Tania? Just focus on her massive, unmoving, aftermarket norks. That'll help.

Really interested in doing this but can anyone give a bit more information about the diet/nutrition side of the programme. We're veggie so probably not enough protein (although we eat a lot of tuna, salmon and cheese). We use a lot of quorn mince too.

I don't bother with the diet.

last night I had roast chicken with all the sides plus cheesecake.

but it depends what you want out of it. I'm just using it as a way to get my 30 mins exercise a day. even at that I'm feeling a difference and it's only been a week.

heres a thought he goes on about protein shakes alot.

googled it and comes up with whey protein.

seems to be heavily used by bodybuilders. Is there much point in getting it for this exercise.

Does say it adds recovery and to be honest im a bit sore today trying it and not moving as quick.

where is the best place to get some if so.
