Personal accounts like the OP's tend to stop me in my tracks, and make me a little teary if honest. I'm three years into surviving a rather nasty scrape with Hodgkins (6 months of chemo) and it brings everything flooding back.
Re the critical health cover I'll just say it came through for me.
To the OP I wish you the best, do whatever you can to stay in situations that keep you positive and remember we're pretty damn resilient things when push comes to shove.
