Ok, I had a lower wisdom tooth extracted on Tues of this week. Things seem to be healing pretty nicely, and the pain has calmed down a lot, although my cheek is pretty swollen - think Don Corleone hehe

Movement is pretty restricted, and I've been feeling weirdness with my tongue, so I decided to get a torch and have a look in the mirror and it looks like he's ran a stitch though my cheek, just along from the extraction site.

I'm fully intending on giving him a call tomorrow, but to make me feel better - can anyone tell me if this is normal?

It's totally normal, don't worry! It's where he cut a flap of gum and this runs into the cheek. When you put the stitch in and tighten it it can pull on the cheek a bit.

As soon as the stitch comes out it'll all go back to normal smile

Ah, I was hoping you'd see this! I did get a bit of a fright when I realised what had been done yikes

That puts my mind at rest then, plus I did a bit of research online after I posted this, seems it's fairly common.

Cheers, appreciate it smile
