Yeah it's all worth it!

I do still drink but strictly once a week, however I tend to go wild when I do but you can't let it control you life all the time IMO.

Find it difficult not to have a couple of wines if I am knackered and in the house on a Fri and then same issue with Saturdays...

I read somewhere the training legs releases growth hormone that will help with the rest of your training, personally I think it's just the big compound movements, and they don't get much bigger than the squat/deadlift.
Either way I'm much the same as you, I naturally have big strong legs from years of rugby, swimming and competitive roller blading so avoid training them.
I do think I should occasionally for some definition but were all quite naturally lazy aren't we.
