I make my coffee with milk, no water in it for me!

I also have a box of crystal brown sugars from years ago, which I sparingly use from time to time.
The full fat milk is sweet enough, but I can't bring myself to throw the box away.

Just started this today.

Had low fat yogurt for breakfast.

Ham salad for dinner

Chicken breast veg and a little rice for tea.

Must admit I am struggling but I've had a carrot to tide me over, I've also had lots of water.

Lets hope it works.

Which?
Total is zero fat, but it's OK because the carbs are at 4, while the protein is 11.

It was a mullet light, 90 calories in total.

Today is a feast day an to be fair I haven't gone mad. Had an apple and some tuna at breakfast and soup and a sandwich for dinner.

Hi all

I just joined PH as I was interested in this discussion and some seem to have been doing this for a while.

I have a question about 5/2 for those that don't want to lose weight (or at least not very much). How do you do this without wanting to drop loads of body fat. I could do with losing a few % but am really looking for the primary health benefits.

I hope this isn't a stupid question.

Thanks

I'm not there yet, but hope to be soon.
From what I've read I understand once 'ideal' body composition is attained you switch to one day per week or less fasting. Your natural appetite will ensure you consume enough on non-fast days that you don't go under nourished. I think. hehe

... and welcome to PH. thumbup

Just for comparison, take a look at this yoghurt.

https://www.totalgreekyoghurt.com/our-yoghurts/tot...

Energy 96 kcal (403 kJ)
Protein 9.0g
Carbohydrates* 3.8g Of which sugars 3.8g
Fat 5g Of which saturates 3.6g

Or the zero fat one.
Energy 57 kcal (243 kJ)
Protein 10.3g
Carbohydrates* 4.0g Of which sugars 4.0g
Fat 0g Of which saturates 0g

Are you having it plain?

I imagine if you add honey/walnut or fruit as suggested it would add carbs & sugar and be similar to a muller light then?

I have it with something, but not the fruit they supply. Some frozen berries, still got all the nutrients, fibre, and still way way below the carb content of the sugary add on. Or an apple/pear, much more filling. I think of my 'snacks' more as complete meals, protein plus carbs. This yoghurt is extremely thick and filling.

Cheers

I did wonder whether your body would just normalise or if you would just wither away lol. The concept sounds great but there's no point being the healthiest stick around wink

The body is good at dealing with intermittent food supply, we're somewhat evolved for it after all.

It depends.
I've eaten it on and off when I get the urge.
Steel cut, as little messed with as possible.
Nowadays I try and make sure it's with protein, bacon, or protein powder in the porridge.
Just read an article by Poliquin where he disses porridge. Makes me wish to investigate this area further.

Just started the 5/2. The evening of the first fast day was tough. Went to bed thinking about food.

Exactly how much of a pig out can you have on a normal day? Just asking like.
