Today is a feast day an to be fair I haven't gone mad. Had an apple and some tuna at breakfast and soup and a sandwich for dinner.

Hi all
I just joined PH as I was interested in this discussion and some seem to have been doing this for a while.
I have a question about 5/2 for those that don't want to lose weight (or at least not very much). How do you do this without wanting to drop loads of body fat. I could do with losing a few % but am really looking for the primary health benefits.
I hope this isn't a stupid question.
Thanks

I'm not there yet, but hope to be soon.
From what I've read I understand once 'ideal' body composition is attained you switch to one day per week or less fasting. Your natural appetite will ensure you consume enough on non-fast days that you don't go under nourished. I think.
... and welcome to PH.

I imagine if you add honey/walnut or fruit as suggested it would add carbs & sugar and be similar to a muller light then?

I have it with something, but not the fruit they supply. Some frozen berries, still got all the nutrients, fibre, and still way way below the carb content of the sugary add on. Or an apple/pear, much more filling. I think of my 'snacks' more as complete meals, protein plus carbs. This yoghurt is extremely thick and filling.I imagine if you add honey/walnut or fruit as suggested it would add carbs & sugar and be similar to a muller light then?

I did wonder whether your body would just normalise or if you would just wither away lol. The concept sounds great but there's no point being the healthiest stick around

It depends.Looking for advice on fast day meals
I've eaten it on and off when I get the urge.
Steel cut, as little messed with as possible.
Nowadays I try and make sure it's with protein, bacon, or protein powder in the porridge.
Just read an article by Poliquin where he disses porridge. Makes me wish to investigate this area further.
