Crushed foot when climbing a cliff and the face gave way. The RAF SeaKing boys from Chivenor saved me that day... that hurt a good amount, but not as bad as when I fell off my crutches 4 months into recovery and landed right on the reconstructed foot!

Renal colic AKA kidney stones; the male equivalent of giving birth apparently. Lost 1/2 stone and 2 days whilst on morphine and I never want to got through that again. Even the acromioclavicular dislocation from a bike accident hurt less than that!
^^^ This!!

I've had two kidney stones. The first didn't hurt as such but it did get lodged on its way out so did use tweezers to pull a razor sharp stone out my cock. Stone number 2 passed ok but I woke up with what felt like a bit of back pain to 20 minutes later being curled in a ball, not nice!! I have a good pain threshold but I was floored.

Next week I get to have the damage caused by stone number 1 repaired. Thank god for general anesthetic!!!

Standing on black ice, my foot slipped and I pivoted over my leg, pushing the knee inwards- it happened with such force that I ripped my kneecap off. All muscle and ligaments. The pain was very intense.I was alone on a country road at night ( walking the dog). Eventually flagged down a car and dragged myself ,kneecap sliding around into the car.....

It took a long time to recover , and was never as strong again.

I've snapped my elbow, severed 3 tendons in my wrist, split my head open, and all sorts, yet the worst pain that nobody has mentioned yet is mental pain! The injury that can't be stitched up or put into a cast.

Posted before in biker banter but when I came off, a got some beautiful gravel rash. That wasnt the worst part though-I've felt worse. The worst was when the nurse in A and E had to use a scrubbing brush and some antiseptic to clean all the grit and dirt out the wound. It's actually like being sandblasted.

Have a pic (I had the same above the other cheek on my left side)...also, I wasn't wearing pants. Unfortunately the 'erosion' of the road sort of destroyed half my boxers forcing me to pull the leftovers up like that. My 'tail' is a tuft of NHS gown...

On balance, something similar, although I don't have a curved spine (that I know of).

Happens every so often and the worst one had me in agony & I simply couldn't stand upright once it went. Spent hours walking the mile, mile and a half back to where I was staying looking to all the world like a Tourettes afflicted Quasimodo. The 15+ pints of lager did precisely bugger all to dampen it.

Mind you, some of the other stuff on these threads tends to sound far more brutal.

Some of these tales make me feel lucky. I had double pneumonia - quite severely as one lung was 80% filled and the other about 60%. Apparently if I had been older or less fit then it would have been curtains. I'd done the man thing and held out until the pain was so much I could barely walk. It wasn't fun - 5 days in intensive care with nasty hallucinations from the breakdown products of the infection and 2 drips into each wrist plus injections and astonishing levels of pain in my upper back. In one of my more lucid moments I counted 7 things attached to me - the 4 lines, the blood pressure monitor, the ECG monitor and I think a breathing monitor.

ETA: Catheters aren't fun, either - even if the nurse is fit. And drugs applied up the arse - not fun.

ETA: Also a blood/oxygen monitor. I clearly couldn't count smile

Ruptured MPFL (Ligament) in my knee pain was about 5/10. Subsequent arthoscopy was probably 4/10.
Treading on a six inch nail and going through my foot at 6 years old, probably about 8/10!

I thought the whole trapped bk in dislocated hip couldn't happen? I thought it happened to a rugby played during a game and it was reported the chap passed out. I could never find the story to link to a previously similar post to this.

In all seriousness, how long did it take to recover from this and were there any lasting effects, it sounds bloody awful!

In comparison a couple of dislocations ad ripped ligaments pale into insignificance. Touch wood I've been very lucky.

Sciatica
suffered with it for a month at a time, couldn't drive as it was agony so had to be driven to work, only had 1 day off sick with it though as moving around at work helped ease it, it was bad overnight and in the morning
I think childbirth may overtake it soon though

Being hit in the nads by a 300lb Tunafish tail or breaking my leg and pulling the bone back inside the flesh pales next to the back pain I sometimes get.

A couple of weeks ago it took 45 minutes of tears and screams just to sit down on a chair. I puked from the pain. It can last for weeks and you are too afraid to even go to the loo. Just taking a dump feels like a life or death decision.

I broke my hip whilst cycling to work, completely severed the femural neck, shock took most of the pain away but the xrays were awful even dosed up on morphine. I was operated on within 6 hours and 3 large screws held everything together. I wasn't able to weight bear on the leg for 4 months and in that time the femural neck died off, the screws are no longer flush with the bone and I have 3 screw heads nestling in the muscle, can be a bit sore some times!

I broke the rear bone in my lower leg (sorry can't remember the proper name!) whilst doing a somersault over a box. Didn't kick hard enough, so hadnt rotated enough when I landed, so my right heel hit first. What was odd about this was the bone at the front did not break, but the rear one was a compound fracture (where the bone sticks out!). Initially it didn't hurt, but I kept falling over when I tried to stand up. I'm very short sighted, and when I looked at my leg I saw something white on it. I reached down and grabbed it, at which point blood started pissing everywhere!
That hurt a lot, but it was nothing compared to what was to happen in the ambulance. In order to try to pull the bone back in to the wound, the paramedic started hauling on the lower leg, but as the bone at the front hadnt broken, all he did was seperate the knee and damage some of the ligaments in there: I eventually fainted I hurt so much!
However that is nothing compared to a housemate at uni. He snapped his cock whilst taking the dirt track with some random bird. He screamed so loudly that people actually came out into the street at 3am to see what was going on! I had to take him to hospital, and he was basically pissing blood all the way there. The back seat of his car was utterly stained! Took about 4 months to heal apparently!
The same lad later in year woke me up again screaming in pain. When I phoned the emergency services, they said that it sounded like his appendix had burst. However when they got him in the ambulance and straightened him out of his foetal position, he did the loudest and longest fart you have ever heard! Turned out it was trapped wind!

Kidney stones.

fk me.

I've had a relatively injury free life. Hit by a car at 12, slipped a disc playing rugby at 15 and broke an ankle as a student (and blootered).

None of those came close to the pain of passing mofo kidney stones.
