Alcohol splashed on a very deep glass cut to the hand by a nurse was the worst 'stinging' pain I've had.

Throwing up a couple of days after an inguinal hernia operation (and sneezing was almost on a par), felt like the incision was going to tear open again...ouch

....standard response which I've used in these threads before...Kidney Stones and home surgery with tweezers to get the razor sharp bd out from being lodged in my bellend.

I will however add to this experience as I had surgery a few weeks back to fix some damage caused by said stone. After peeing blood quite a bit and getting the all clear from more stones, a telescope (flexible cystostoscopy) shoved down the cock in to the bladder showed I had a large cut that hadn't heeled caused by the stone in the muscle that lets the wee out.

After having a chunk of this removed and stitched up or whatever they did, the first four or five pee's after having a catheter removed that had been in there for four days sits well up the list for me!! Although I haven't tried it some can't really compare, I can only liken it to sticking your cock in a boiling kettle as the burning was seriously intense. As I finished pissing blood and clots out, as the muscle contracted it felt like the best swing you'd ever taken with a 3 iron had landed squarely between my nuts and arse. I'm pretty tough and ok with pain...I did removed a kidney stone with tweezers... but this nearly had me crawling out the loo in the recovery lounge at the hospital begging to be catheterised again. Not fun!!

A dislocated hip wasn't nice but last week I was rummaging in a draw for a pen and managed to wedge a needle under my thumbnail.

Just wow

Talking about catheters, the time I had one removed and they hadn't completely deflated to balloon hurt, a lot, so much so I got tunnel vision.
Whilst it was in I was getting dressed one day and stepped on it, apparently the noise I made was so concerning that 3 nurses came running, they burst into my cubicle to see me lying on the floor with a pair of boxer shorts round my ankles, not my finest moment hehe

Two rather painful experiences from me this year:

Chopping some wood in the garden, didn't saw all the way through, half cut into it then jumped on it, one half went down, the other half swung up and hit me on the side of the head/ear resulting in concussion and a perforated ear drum. I continued working with my dad for the rest of the day, then still didn't visit A&E for another couple of days despite bleeding from the ear.

The other was playing football, went to cross the ball and kicked the ground, my big toe dislocated and crossed over my other toes, then fractured the socket when I put it back in place. I didn't want to make a fuss so this also took a few days to get myself to the hospital.

I have pictures of both injuries should anyone wish to see.

It's one thing having wads of gauze ripped out of your red raw ass every day but by christ I could've done without having driving home after.

I know someone (male) who was raped on holiday by four 'Looky Looky' men.

It's about 9 years on, and he's only just started to talk about it, but he says the pain, physical and mental will live with him forever.

Anyway, on that light note...

My bladder went insanely spastic (the medical definition thereof: in spasm) and ejected a catheter, complete with fully inflated 2cm water balloon on the end.

I've dislocated more joints than I can count, broken a couple of bones, had holes cut through skin and muscle into organs three times and will be on slow-release morphine until the day I die... nothing has ever hurt as much as that did.

@ Halb, i didnt make it pop ... last monday at work i went for a break... needed the loo and when in there it just happened. i was in there a good while while it seemed to drain out forever but then when i stood up and could walk... it was heaven !!! another idiot in the health forum reckons i am homophobic for not wanting to go to the docs, me i'm not and just felt embarrassed about pointing my poop shute in his face without it being something i thought might kill me... the normal bloke thing... its now healing fine, no pain etc and i did end up going to show my ass to the quack too . to be called homophobic because i didnt fancy a finger up the chuff is a bit strong i thought and left the poster under no illusions what i thought of his comments too.

I've read the other thread, and I really hope the word you are looking for is perineal (bum related) rather than perennial (lasting a year or several years)!!!eeklaugh

I think it is a pretty human (not just bloke) reaction to want to avoid having a virtual stranger perform and uncomfortable and embarrassing examination unless it it ABSOLUTELY necessary, and I don't think it is homophobic to feel that way.

Incidentally, your post suggests that you have had other episodes of 'arse related agony' to compare this to - should I not ask? wink

If you read that thread you should also notice that the other end is a bigger problem. Secretion of verbal diarrhoea!

Well yes, but my interpretation FWIW goes
1. EM posts with a fairly crassly phrased ref to not wanting an intimate exam
2. Others pick up on this and accuse homophobia
3. EM gets v cross, loses the plot and gets verbally abusive (not condoned)
4. Thread closed.

Let's not derail this thread by discussing further another that deteriorated v quickly.
