Unfortunately, my little girl (age 11) has this. The GP won't do anything at this time and says it can take up to 2 years to clear.

There is only one and its on her chin and I'm sure very shortly the P$SS will be taken out of her at school since it looks like a wart.

I have read what the internet and of course Wikki says about this, but would ask whether any PH'ers had had this, or their children have had this and they have used a natural, over the counter purchased medicine or natural ingredient, which have been sucessful and cleared it.

Any advice would be greatly received, before I go back to the GP and insist they burn/freeze, cut it off.

Regards

Sadly it's quite common, especially if your kids go swimming a lot (like mine). GP won't do anything at all unfortunately so like you we looked around but to no avail.

To be honest both my girls had it and it passed by quite quickly. Kids are cruel but mine didn't get any stick (although they had them on their arms/legs as opposed to one on the face).

Sorry I can't help much more than that but it will pass. A friend/nurse said to use tea tree oil and whilst we did try it, can't say if the got rid any quicker than they would have done naturally.

You can dig it out but be careful of scars etc.

Hi my daughter had it when she was about 4 or 5. It was on the backs of her legs and her bottom so not quite as visible as your daughter's.

I spent ages looking online for a cream or lotion and came across a cream with tiny particles of silver in it. I bought it from an American website and it was v expensive (about £60 for a pot!). BUT it worked. I couldn't find anything in the UK that would work. I can't remember how long it took to go but it wasn't longer than a couple of weeks.

All advice in this country is to let it run it's course. HTH

I would be weary of using cream containing silver as it can cause the skin to be stained black temporarily.

Unfortunately, I think the best course of action is to let it run it's course, anything else would risk scarring.
