Hopefully, you won't have to, but sorry it was a nasty experience for you.
It needen't have been, of course.

I'm almost as fully recovered as you can expect to be. I still wouldn't do it again.
Glad you're OK now whatever time frame they give you for recovery, add a month or so on top as they do like to give out BS to keep you happy. In the end the most painful thing for me was about 6 weeks off work with no pay. frown

Most of my income is from self employment. Fortunately, my customers are pretty understanding, but they want the job done. If I had to take 6 weeks off, I'd be dead in the water.

as long as the doctor checks to ensure that the anesthetic has taken effect before cutting you open and pulling out the tubes to be cut...
Because as i found out, it only takes seconds to cut and remove the first tube and cut it , by which time you might be one the ceiling with the nurse trying to hold you down..... with the doctor saying oh dear i think we need more anesthetic.

the other side was completely painless after that... I had flashbacks for 2 weeks..

Same problem here - the second side was agony, to the point where I curled up in a ball while the scissors were still inside me, which meant that I got a second, unplanned hole in the scrotum as the tip burst back out. Not pleasant frown

Mine, about 12 years ago was the 1 incision, cauterised tubes stylee. No probs at all, no stitches required. I even managed to make sure everything was 'normal' the same evening. The only thing I had to do was use a steri-strip after a couple of days to hold the little hole closed as it wasn't closing.

However, having the reversal 8 years later , that was another thing! LOL

But actually not as bad as most of the experiences posted on this thread.

Balls of steel me. biggrin
